This reminds me of an old /g/ story where anon had to deal with his sister using his laptop to pirate shit and get viruses as a result. So he installed Linux on it, and when the inevitable happened his sister went running to the mother that the computer was broken and needed to be taken to the shop, where the Windows version of the time was installed (I forget, but let’s say it was Vista for maximum salt).

Yes. If I want a webcam I can plug something into the USB, thats what they are for. You're naive if you think it isnt fucked up that MS requires you to have a fucking webcam. Why would they require me to have something like that, if it weren't for spying? "Oh but they don't spy on people", yeah there is absolutely zero telemetry in windows, Alexa and Siri havend normalised people being spied on and haven't totally listened to everything people say. How will you know when MS isn't spying on you? If I could purchase a device with no microphone or webcam built in, I would. The safest way to handle microphones/webcams is to have external ones that you plug in only when you want them to be plugged in.
It's even worse when you consider that many companies wont let you bring in camera equipment of any kind. Just imagine pulling out your laptop with it's HD webcam on the shop floor of Boeing or one of Lockheed Martin's R&D facilities. It isn't just defence contractors either, go to any large car manufacturers and pull your phone out and you'll be kicked out.
If you're gonna dualboot I'd advise to use a second HDD/SSD for it unless you're using a laptop or something. In the past I used to dualboot Windows and Linux and Windows bootloader doesn't play nice with Linuxs bootloaders sometimes to put it nice and simply.
Back when I'd somehow accidentally get into "arguments" online with people about Win10 over its telemetry, they'd usually just reguritate buzzwords and other nonsense at me. "It improves and tailors the user experience!" "If Windows 10 spied on people, we'd know." and my favorite; "Just compile Windows XP if you're so worried, its source was leaked recently."

The point is that MS is requiring manufacturers to sell you a webcam if they want to put the "Works With Windows 11" sticker on the box. As far as anyone knows right now, there's no indication that Win11 will refuse to run on a machine that doesn't have a webcam.
Which ones still let you do that? Doesn't seem to be an option on the T or P series at least.
The fun part is that the russians notice that the lock is exclusively on the installer, apparently it runs a hardware check and if you dont have what they ask, it will refuse the installation but if you put the window 10 file it just accept it as its own because is just the same installer with the logo swapped, Window 11 runs without any issue with all that crap they are asking
