Their standards are really low, imagine doing this for a living for years (in theory) and still not knowing when to let the other one speak. Both FTN and TDS just feels like they phone in for money. It just doesn't feel passionate since they blew their load at Trump 5 years ago. And let's not even get into the time creep that made many of their shows a chore to keep up with.

If they really do make money from the podcasts, then parasocial relationships do pay well, because you get like a third of the podcasts they used to have. (maybe they should have shared some of the loot with the new blood, just saying.)

Also, do anybody know what happened to Exodus Americanus? They just scrubbed that show and the host's appearances for good.

I remember that 'Exodus Americanus' name, but can't remember the actual show's content. That's not saying anything about it's quality either, 'cuz I have a terrible memory for names and can't even remember what my favorite, but now defunct, shows TRS has hosted were called. It was two southern working class guys messing around. If 4chan archives are to believe they got kicked of due to misbehavior of their tech guy.
A some of the stuff is up on archive.org, which is nice because TRS keeps scrubbing itself from time to time.

I think the best podcasts are not tied to the current news. You will have more reason to listen to them later.

It has become obvious who brought what to the table at FTN. The show was on fire when it was Jazzhands and Halberstram with ethnarch doing the show prep. When Halberstram left, the show became more autistic. When ethnarch left, the show became retarded. Allsup is a nice guy but he is a midwit at best and I’m sure Jazzhands made it very clear that Allsup is the junior partner.

TRS is a self imposed ghetto at this point. They’re just content to milk the remaining couple thousand paypigs. They don’t have any illusions that they’re going to perform entryism within the GOP and don’t really rock the boat. I think the Alt-Right/Dissident Right culture was basically killed in it's infancy. Sure it's just edgy pol posting, but it used to be more of a grassroots artistic movement.
The podcasting scene was fun, it used to be high energy. It is a pity that doxing had a chilling effect on creators while the mass bannings just made sure things are centralized in a few places.

Another big factor is it's still got that headline-discussing morning zoo vibe to it. Surely it devolves once Mike starts autistically bickering at people interrupting his rants but it's one of the few shows to hear people discuss MSM without having to listen to that shit yourself. I was hoping it would become more casual since NJP is where they're trying to do their serious shit but every so often they have a great clip like shit about the Tulsa Race Riots.
