The group specifically seeming to oppose this event is called "All Out DC" which is an antifa affiliate

So far air bnb has cancelled the reservations of Proud Boys, SPLC has been writing hit pieces and eventbrite has censored the event. Even earlier conflicts between pro-Trump and anti-Trump protestors have fought in DC in the past few days.
The event hasn't even started and people are already pouring out and conflicts are brewing. Here's hoping it's a fun filled day and truly the lolcow crossover we all hope it to be.

I think antifa groups aren't too interested in looking approachable or changing the opinions of new people; they just want to draw people who are already on the radical left to these events for the sake of numbers.

Edit: I love how at 0:25 in the All Out DC video, the speaker says "pushing people back to work in the face of a rampaging pandemic" over a shot of protesters dancing in a crowded street. We'll storm through DC with hundreds of people in packed groups, but don't make us go to work and do our jobs, we don't want to catch The Virus.
