I have spoken to a priest who also happens to be gay who told me that this perception of pedo priests being gays who joined up and then went insane through repressing their sexuality and then going out and fiddling kids is all wrong and completly misunderstands the nature of sexuality, not to mention is homophobic.
If you are gay you are attracted to adult men. No amount of repression can change that. Pedophiles on the other hand join the priesthood and may also be gay. But they hide amongst the general population of gay priests (which is rather astonishingly large) and are protected somewhat by the structure of the church. This could only encourage more pedos to join up, as it is a viable and safe way for them to live their lives.

Honestly, this whole thing is just really degrading to actual victims of grooming, abuse and circumstances who are actually Ex-Gay. There's a lot of real, actual Christians who put in a lot of effort to getting help and reforming on what they can personally consider a more healthy lifestyle. You have to understand some of these guys are groomed by priests, Milo of all people should have sympathy for victims and Ex-Gays rather than use their identity as a cheap gimmick.

How can people who are in favor of sex/gender conversion therapy not be in favor of sexuality conversion therapy and be remotely logically consistent?
Sex/gender conversion theraphy is usually the result of diagnosed gender dysphoria, thus a person has a mental disorder which can only really be soothed by letting the person be what they perceive themselves as. that, or getting into extremely heavy drug use or becoming Ed Gein.
Sexuality conversion therapy meanwhile tends to be thrust onto people, whether because they are young and their shitkicker parents dont want no fggits in their humble abodes, or because they percieve themselves as sinful heathens full of guilt needing to be cleansed.
I know the situations may appear "similiar" because of the word "sex", but there is a big difference between your brain telling you that you have a dick when you clearly dont, vs your brain telling you that man-ass = best ass.
edit: obviously both situations can involve a lot of abuse and gaslighting where people are forced by societal pressures, left wing or right wing, political or religious etc.
