You need to pay attention to when it is worded as "gay kids" or "queer kids", because kids can't even be "straight", much less "gay" or "queer". Children are just children and playing house or having elementary school boyfriends or girlfriends is not a predictor for the eventual adult sexuality of those children.
Children are children and you cannot, I repeat, CANNOT allow people to try to attribute matters of sexuality and consent to children. It is outside of their understanding and ability. If you hear someone say things like this, do not trust them. Do not trust queer theory. It is rotten to the core. The college I went to taught me the history of queer theory and its modern ethos while making the mistake of failing to indoctrinate me to the cause of social justice/wokeness/idpol. Do. Not. Trust.
