You or I would never get a cushy bail amount like this. I'd imagine he threw out some bullshit argument about ties to the community and all that shit, but frankly, the nature of the crime by itself should make him considered a high flight risk because if he takes the full brunt of this (very likely they appoint a special prosecutor from out of the county and if they do not the fix is in), he's not getting out.

I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't kill himself. Like Epstein didn't.

In the same way the suffragettes paved the way for rad fems, or the civil rights movement paved the way for BLM.

The left keeps suffering from the same folly. The issue is not the Gay Rights Movement, the issue is that the left are collectivists. They create a movement with legitimate grievances, it gains traction and public support and eventually becomes a powerful entity for change. They then win their issue (Women voting, civil rights laws, gay marriage, etc). The problem is that when they win, the movement doesn't stop. The movement itself becomes a collective identity. The problem that stems from this is that as part of that collective identity they must ensure no damage to the identity occurs. And if a leader in said identity is revealed to have committed a moral wrong, their only real option then is to circle the wagons and bury it.

So why do I bring this up here? Well, those moral wrongs don't just disappear. Instead, as the original followers of the movement slowly peel away due to winning their battle, that leaves much less of a bulwark against the more radical elements of the movement that latched on. Sometimes, this leads to them, transitioning down a still moral path as the one's in charge aren't completely nuts. For this, you get the various waves of feminism of the last century. Sometimes, it skips straight into bad with the embracing of ghettos culture with the civil rights movement or the embracing of troons for the gay rights movement.

Inevitably, as each shrinking stage wins its battle and more peels off, it always descends into immorality. With surrounding left wing movements insanity amplifying the speed of decay. Hence why the Gay Rights Movement jumped straight from "Gays" to "troons". At that point, the feminist circle had already descended into open misandry, and the civil rights movement group was well on its way to descent.

TL;DR: The issue, in the end, is not the Gay Rights Movement. Its that the left simply cannot oust the degenerate bastards in its own groups, and a slow series of hijacks occur whenever any of their groups wins their initial goals.

The issue is not with LGBT rights, the issue is with pedophiles and rapists making the LGBT community look bad. Don't forget that NAMBLA and other pedophile groups played a major role in pro LGBT advocacy all the way until the mid 90s. The gay rights movement and the pedo/groomer scene were indistinguishable in the early days, and there's still a major overlap between the two groups even today.

There might be some 'salvaging' if major LGBT advocates start cleaning their yard and call out these pedos, or make their own new group of anti-pedo LGBT. And they'll have to be damn transparent about the NAMBLA shit and the history of how it all lead to the clown world of the modern times- but seeing how cultish their culture/society (calling people 'uncle toms' all willy-nilly) and the money that gets passed around, it'll be a herculean task.
