I absolutely agree with the fact that using an actual child's voice for songs about child abuse is... really weird to say the least, but I also put a lot of the burden on Wilbur and Dream for making a good portion of Tommy's character mentally ill and abused, as I think these covers would be a lot less likely to exist if that foundation wasn't already laid out.

Did they do anything like that with Tubbo's character? Since the song is from the Pov of the abusive character all these Tommy versions of the song depict him being verbally abusive towards Tubbo.

From what I can tell, kind of? Tubbo has a streak of mental illness and being manipulated by others too (including by Tommy apparently), and as for the both of them, Tommy and Tubbo seem to have a love-hate relationship where while they're best friends they seem to get into conflicts and then make up constantly in the plot.

Including, but not limited to Tubbo exiling Tommy and regretting it as L'manberg president, an actual fight because Tubbo wanted to give Tommy's disc to Dream and he thought he knew Dream was fat Joker (followed by Tommy having a realization moment, being unexiled and apologizing to Tubbo), and Tommy getting upset because Tubbo was shocked he came back alive out of prison after Dream killed and resurrected him (also because he got "replaced" by Ranboo, but he got over it?)

So I guess the covers could probably be taken as
A. Tommy "sticking it" to Tubbo because Tubbo did some bad things to him in the past?
B. A general "abused become abuser!!!"
C. DSMP's story is dumb and we all lose.

I'm not sure whether this new SMP will be lore-based. Even if it is, I doubt that it'll become the 'new dsmp', since Tommy, Wilbur, Philza, and a few other creators have already tried a new SMP with some lore included (Origins SMP) and it was quickly abandoned. Perhaps the genre as a whole is becoming less popular?

The scene is oversaturated at the moment and SMPs that focus on story right from the start instead of the interactions between creators are doomed to fail.
Give it a bit of time, let the dust settle and soon enough some popular SMP will crop up again because its the simplest way to farm content

As far as I know, Sneegsnag is the only one still on it and messing around.
I think there was a discussion about it in the Dream Thread that it was possible that the Greenman didn’t like how it was taking a lot of the members from the DSMP and possibly becoming more relevant? I wouldn’t be surprised if he was being like “hey, come back and let’s do more lore and ignore that thing you guys are doin for fun.”
Because the OrginsSMP grew really popular quick, and a lot of creators they were close to were brought into the server so it was definitely more of a “fun with friends” style thing with the added flair Wilbur likes, so there’s defo a lot of appeal.
It honestly makes no sense as to why they would quit because they all were having fun, and the fans loved it. People still talk about it in comments sections and make fan art of it to this day.

I wonder if there’s a reason they didn’t invite George on. After all, the Britts seem to be hella close with him, especially recently. So why would they exclude him from the SMP? Is it because they knew he would want Dream along? That’s the only viable answer I could think of, in all honesty. It really does feel like they’re trying to get away from Dream, and good for them. I hope their SMP overshadows the Dream one.

As far as George, I can totally see that being the reason for his exclusion. He combined his merch company with Dream's. The George-Sapnap-Dream trio is one thing I don't expect to break. I thought it may earlier but George seems like he's with it in a deeper sense than just business.

All of these pages 404, and they appear to be simple spam sites that mimic Instagram. I know from personal experience these types of sites are common for YouTube, as many of them will be in the back pages of Google trying to masquerade as YouTube but really just have all the information (metadata, comments, usernames) copied over onto a shitty layout. However, ONE of these links works, and it takes us to ImgInn, an IG spam site copy that appears to have saved some of @coveneted's tagged posts, actual posts, and comments:

I'm not really sure why coveneted was tagged in this? And I didn't see a tag actually on the album anywhere. But there is definitely a link, albeit a tenuous one.

So, to recap: icedteakid, an alleged RBGC member, appears to be irl friends with many people of the demographic you would expect RBGC to be, at least one of whom is connected in some way to Minecraft herself. Now, this may be reaching a bit, but could these people in this irl friend group be involved with, be part of, or simply just be the RBGC? I noticed that pretty much 90% of the OriginSMP players dropped the server and stopped playing after the # kick incident. I wonder if that's why they all stopped playing on it?

I agree with Novi, I also had the same suspicions that that may be why the server has been pretty much abandoned, although Tubbo said they plan to do stuff with it next month. I highly doubt that Dream has such control over the members of his SMP that he can dictate what they do, or that they would even care about what he wants.

The # kick is referring to an incident with Technoblade, who after joining the Origin SMP for the first and only time, was brutally attacked on Twitter. This was soon after people tried to cancel him, to which he promptly, and rightfully so, ignored. Fans trended #kick(insert Technos real name here). Technoblade does not like to be referred to by his real name, not even by his internet friends off-stream. The hashtag was full of death threats, fake doxxings, and horrible things about Techno. As far as I know the hashtag that trended was never addressed by name by anyone, but soon after Philza left Twitter accept to like fanart.

Honestly, some of that stuff came from Wilbur stans, and IMHO Wilbur handles his stans equally as bad, if not worse, than Dream does. [There were some Tubbo and Ranboo stans in there too]
