I recently made a post in the Dream thread about how a handful of twitter stans moved over to tumblr after the drama with Technoblade went down (link). Strangely, the tumblr part of the fandom is a bit calmer compared to their twitter counter part, but only because they do not actively attack other stans. They still have their fair share insanity. For example, the infamous tapeworm post:

The fact that it was posted in the first place is insane. But you're right, it's more of a joke now on tumblr. I actually have a bit of respect for the tumblr stans because at least they show some self awareness and understand that the fandom is made up of crazy teens. Twitter stans act like spoiled brats and are very hostile to anyone who questions them or their beloved Minecraft boys.

have we talked about the fact that there are teens that actively "kin" the mcyts? for those that don't know, "kinning" is basically the new quirky way of saying you relate to a character, except these idiots believe that they were or are the character in question. this is in the form of "kin memories", which most of the time are just headcanons for fictional characters. even if they claim to "kin" dsmp characters, do they not realize that they're pretty much the streamers? there's really no difference except for some actions/personalities are exaggerated to fit a character while others aren't.

it took me a while to find one, but i finally found someone's carrd that listed that they "kin" tommyinnit, quackity, robin, and jackie. keep in mind their age and the fact that they have pog pronouns (god only knows what i could hope that means).

this is the only one i've seen from casually browsing through twitters and carrds to laugh at them, but i'm sure there's a ton more if i properly looked.

Oh yeah, the kin side of the Minecraft Youtubers. That's one thing the Twitter side and the Tumblr side have in common, actually. People think that they actually control the characters, or are living the lives of some Minecraft roleplay. There's also arguments of whether "kinning the DreamSMP characters" counts as factkin or whatever, but people are gonna use the retarded delusuonal attachment term now that it's a thing.

Tumblr has honestly chilled out after becoming a "dead website" while Twitter has turned absolutely batshit. I expect that won't last long when people from Twitter start migrating back to Tumblr.

A big factor is the Minecraft streamers don't have tumblr blogs so the tumblr fans can't talk to them on there. The lack of boundaries on Twitter is part of why the culture there is radioactive.
