well i guess i gotta enroll in Harvard to understand the cinematic masterpiece that is My Little Pony The MovieTo be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand My Little Pony. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of friendship and socializing skills, most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Twilight’s insightful outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterisation - her personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike My Little Pony truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Fluttershy’s impactful catchphrase "yay," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Lauren Faust's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. XD

Because CGI = bigger budget and better quality apparently. These guys do not know jack about animation.
Fun thing about that: the kids (actual demographic for the movie) complained about how choppy the animation is. They've grown up in the CG era, and frame-by-frame animation looks weird to them.

Most kids prefer to watch something 2D if it were on a non-theatrical format. If placed on a theater, it would look awfully off.

I can already tell he’s gonna be the next Colorado Dark Night Rises shooter... he has a mixture of “I’m never gonna smash any kind of pussy in my life” with unbrittled edgy backstory cringe in his eyes. Behind that face is a ticking, Mexicano, time bomb...Someone didn't like the movie very much
If this were to make more money than Blade Runner 2049 because of bronies, you'd be leaving out the fact that not every single brony is going to the movie theater. Some are gonna pirate for whatever reason, others may not even be allowed after the first batch of horsefuckers coming in because said first batch showed the theater staff that having manchildren in MLP would cause problems like disrupting the movie with noise or giving parents some creeped out vibes.
