MLP Reviews -

Come to think of it, why is this it own thread? From the way you people are describing them (Because no way in hell am I wasting my already worthless time watching a man be "deep" about ponies ) it seem like his regular reviews , why not post them in thread with his other reviews? or merge it with the brony thread like other CatParty suggested.

Two reasons. One is that most of his MLP reviews are not animated atrocities/admiral admiration and two the fact that people get annoyed by MLP, so it would make sense to have it segregated.

Personally, I think the fact that grown men watch MLP is an abomination. What I find especially funny about Enter's reviews is that not only does he watch MLP, but he over-analyzes it to the core and spergs over every single little detail.

That's why I appreciate Swooty's review summaries, both because I can't be arsed to watch an adult rambling about cartoon horses for 15 minutes and because they highlight how deep this guy's autism goes.

If being a brony was the only thing lulzy with MrEnter, then he wouldn't deserve his own subforum. What I find to be the more hilarious part of him is the fact that he not only is a brony, but is also a psuedointellectual who over analyizes MLP and to comopound on this issue, the fact that his beliefs are wrong makes it more hilarious. Looking through his reviews can provide us with very revealing details about MrEnters personality.

So him overanalysing childrens shows is spergy but you lot analysing said reviews to gain 'very revealing details about MrEnters personality.' is somehow different?

He is vastly more than just another generic pseudointellectual brony though. He's got a ridiculous family history, he's pretty delusional about quality and his projects in general, etc. The brony bit is just something that complements the other parts of him.

all those would make better threads than discussing the contents of his reviews like he's some broadsheet columnist.

by all means summarize the boring bits and quote any funny absurdities, but the minute someone starts complaining about how he got pastelpony420's personality wrong or missed something similar they're doing the same shit he does. moo fucking moo.

We had a thread for generic angry reviewers, I realise mr Enter isn't quite that but to be honest the only real difference I see between him and them is the particularly spergy crowd he seems to attract- both supporters and detractors.

By that reasoning you would have to accept that literally every sub-forum that looks into the details of someones life even at a very minor level, such as Chris Chans facebook rants, would also be autistic. The forums would be fairly boring if all people did in response to something like Chris Chans jail rant was say "LOL!" That said, human psychology is a bit more complicated than a children's cartoon; for example, you wouldn't call psychologists autistic for analyzing what people say.

If you can't see the difference between someone going to jail and reviewing a cartoon nothing I'm going to say is going to convince you otherwise. It's all about degrees- and discussing someones view on MLP (beyond 'wow that's weird') is firmly on the spergy side.

The Chris forum is notorious for the far too autistic analysis of minor things like chris's fb rants hence why so many threads there get locked and so many users there get banned.

But I've said my piece and won't derail your thread any further.

You would be missing out on a lot of autism by ignoring the minor forms of it. To be fair, most of what has been discussed here has been about MrEnters thinking and not the show itself. But I suppose we can just agree to disagree.

This is an older review (and a "gold rank" episode -- seriously, why does he need to rank the episodes on top of analyzing them?), so he seemed relatively calm, but I still have to raise an eyebrow at him referring to characters "we" hate as if he were in the target demographic.

Also, he alludes to fanfic in the review. I guess it because someone else would have pointed it out?

Calmer back then, still tinges of sperg back then too but that's what I think of a lot of people, especially grown men, that "analyze" a kids show about multicolor ponies that they should have grown out of. I don't like how he's sort of talking to a fictional character at times in the video either. He'd do that shit with his Spongebob reviews too.

You mean that creepy old man Entard wrote about in a fanfiction? Yeah...

I knew his MLP reviews would be almost constantly positive. I don't understand the big appeal to the show. I have watched a few episodes, but nothing really happened. One of my friends who is a Brony said they just look past the aesthetic. That would make sense if people didn't put so much effort into replication the style of the show.

To be fair even Enter himself gets bored by some episodes. Little girls might enjoy it but it can't provide 100% nonstop entertainment for all grown men.

Bronies are strange. Many act like the show is the second coming of Christ while there are those who hate everything that doesn't please their high expectations, yet still watch and make "analyzations". Then you got the ones who try and make their mindless fandom some political/social movement.

As for Enter, he obviously fits into the 2nd category, yet he complains about bronies taking the show seriously in a review when he does the same exact thing.

Exactly. Bronys need to understand that they are not the target audience. The show is intended for young girls.

One would wonder if Enter even had the clarity in knowing how hypocritical it is, the fanbase taking seriously even though he himself is guilty of it. Whether or not he does call himself a brony, he is a sperg like the rest them.
