The highlight of my quick browse was an "asexual advice" blog suggesting that someone with a crush on her best friend is probably "romance-repulsed" because they're nervous: https://archive.md/pdhhC
One time I saw an asexual advice blog tell a (probably troll but that's not relevant) 11-year-old asker that she was probably asexual because she didn't seem to enjoy sex with other 11-year-old as much as her classmates who were also 11 appeared to. Like let's just ignore that child-on-child sexual abuse is a thing, what's important is that you get that sexual orientation label set in stone as early as possible. (:_(

And then they claim that sexuality is fluid. It's like they want to have their cake and eat it too.

Shit, that explains the whole cake meme.

For a while there was a blog called something like "realasexual" that was a subtle troll blog intended to get a rise out of Tumblr asexual by making scandalous claims like demisexuality isn't real. They made infinitely more sense than most of the ace blogs run by real people. And that's pretty much all you need to know about Tumblr asexuals.

Genuine genderfluid people do exist... they usually have fluctuating gender dysphoria (as opposed to other types of trans people, whose dysphoria is consistent) but a lot of people on tumblr think that wearing "boy clothes" one day and "girl clothes" the next makes someone genderfluid . I personally don't have issue with pronouns like ze/zir or ey/em because at least they sound like pronouns, and they/them can be unclear in some contexts. But the "sproutself" stuff is taking it too far.

Tumblr is kind of right about the whole 'gender is fluid' thing. That statement only applies to certain people who do struggle with their identity. However, most of these people are younger and a lot of young teens do struggle with their identity. Tumblr takes advantage of this awkward phase and makes teens believe they're some weird gender or some shit.

And to some degree, sexuality CAN be fluid but only in certain circumstances (fluidity isn't even the right word). Some people get into a relationship with the opposite sex and realize they're gay. I had this happen to me. It's not that sexuality is 'fluid', it's just that things can happen to help you realize what your true sexuality is.

Which is why I really dislike the idea of all these oddly specific genders and sexualities. They're labels. And changing your label every so often just because your thoughts and feelings change shows how ridiculous it is. You don't need to label yourself to such a degree.

People in the LGBTQ community are already struggling enough with being taken seriously and treated like a normal human being. They don't want to be seen as different and don't want their sexuality to be the only thing people focus on. People are more than their gender/sexuality, you know :c

EDIT: Removed some powerlevel stuff. No point in revealing certain things about myself.

Same with the whole agender thing. Lifelong feeling, then learning it was a thing online but pre-Tumblr. When I got on Tumblr it was nice at first, like a honeymoon stage, then it just went downhill and fast. Now everything is just a mess, but thankfully it's relatively easy to stay away from these people who just make grabby hands at labels because they have it plastered all over their blogs with their ten sets of pronouns and ~*~custom~*~ genders.

Before I realized being non-binary was a thing I felt like a lukewarm trans man, ish. Being called a dude feels just as wrong as being addressed as anything other than neutrally, and am stuck on the fence as to whether or not going on T would be worth the pain of it all. It would solve some aspects of my dysphoria but not all, and would probably cause more to arise. It's kind of a no-win situation in terms of medical transitioning at this point in time, so instead I am probably just going to wind up doing what I do now and reclaim my body with tattoos and other mods. Might as well do that because hell man I can't even bind properly. Socially I just go with it, not much else to be done there.

In spite of the experience sucking thankfully I have a lot more to myself than any gender or sexuality could be. I would have to whittle through a lot of conversation topics to ever talk to strangers IRL about this stuff.

Mogai-archives was the one who came up with 'sapiosexual', too-- or they published a submission about it, at the least. Literally 'attracted to intelligence'.

That makes sense-- 'sapiosexual' doesn't really feel tumblr-esque to me, and tumblr hates it for being ableist now anyways.

Also: autissexual. Literally "attracted only to autistic people". Seems fitting.

I don't think it's been mentioned yet, but there was a blog called mogai-watch that archived some of the most ridiculous genders and orientations mogai-archive had to offer and wrote poems based on them. Unfortunately they've been on hiatus for several months and missed out on some gems, but it always amused me. This link gets you to the archived genders and poems if you don't feel like scrolling through discussion and asks.

I could go for days on this. Dreadsexual, where feelings of sex are accompanied (usually) by strong feelings of dread; Telesexual, lit: "definition: an ace spectrum sexuality referring to the sexual attraction to those in which one has no emotional attachment (celebrities, models, strangers, etc.)."

Autissexual thankfully seems to have been omitted from mogai-archives 2.0. In its place we have things like "Aliquasexual", lit: "definition: someone who does not normally experience sexual/romantic attraction but does on occasion or under specific circumstances." and "Amicussexual", lit: "definition: only feeling sexual attraction to people/other that occupy your platonic attraction. (from the latin word amicus that means friend)"

So two new queerified words that describe romantic and/or sexual orientations common to just about fucking everybody that experiences romantic and sexual attraction of any sort. Don't even get me fucking started on new genders.
