Quinton didn't win a civil case because there was no lawsuit. The judge approved Quinton's request for a protective order against Kristen Rubin.
Ahh okay. Thanks for the clarification.

Still through, they witch hunt the dude even though he got the approval from the judge.

Todd was never put in front of a judge and they just...forgot about what Pridemoore said about him? Could it be that not nearly amount of people complained?

I'm probably being way too autistic about this but something doesn't add up.

I don't think he always brings his mom, but she pops up every now and then.

I'm actually inclined to believe that he did display some diva-like behavior. I'm also inclined to believe that Vic probably has an ego problem, that would absolutely rub some people the wrong way. But that behavior is sort of commonplace in the entertainment industry. Not excusing it, it just wouldn't surprise me.

The dude isn't a saint. I do believe he respects his fans much more than most in the anime industry. And his pants are objectively gayer than anyone else's.

At least you can give us an inside look on how short Monica's lines are.
I'll be sure to get a picture and post it on here.
I have the mental image of Ron walking around the convention floor, remote in hand, to threaten and bully anime nerds to go to her table.
"Hey people, have you checked the table of my personal fiance out yet? Signed photo 30 bucks, blowie for 50, for 55 I clean up afterwards."
Don't forget his sheepdog voice.

Honestly the guy screams diva. He resembles every "artistic" faggot actor I ever met, but he's clearly realised that the one thing that keeps an actor relevant (and paid) is catering to the audience, and he obviously has enough empathy to remember - and care about - people he's interacted with in the past. Maybe he is a complete sociopath, but if that's the case, then he's a sociopath that learned the right lessons.

Personally I don't think he is a sociopath. He's a construct; a scaffold. A homunculus constructed by the gay pants, so that they might walk upon the earth.

What does this make Monica & @Ron Toye, then?

I wouldn't be surprised if he had, but he treats the fans well. Almost all the complaints along these lines I've heard are ridiculous shit like "well he insisted on a contractual term being enforced." Well, no shit, he made a contract for that shit, do it and shut the fuck up.

It's not like he ever even had a "Van Halen clause," like "There will be no brown M&M's in the backstage area, upon pain of forfeiture of the show, with full compensation." They weren't just fucking with people, though, because if they saw brown M&Ms, they knew the people hadn't performed part of the contract, and probably fucked up other shit as well. So they knew to check everything else and often found they'd done incredibly dangerous shit that could have caused something like the Station fire. They had a very complex stage show that required very specific preparation.

Almost all these complaints have been from con staff, who are some of the most entitled, whiny, self-important little bitches imaginable. Their complaints amount to a hill of beans to me. "Waaaaaaah he didn't kiss my fat ass and he MADE ME DO MY JOB a bloo bloo bloo." Fuck these people.

He prolly yelled at staff when he got mad and he probably got lazy and asked them for stuff that was petty. My boss does this, and he's mostly alright. As long as he doesn't do it too often, he's fine by me.

Even assuming he was a total douche, that's not a crime.

You're not supposed to touch the poo anyway. No harm in documentation while you're there though. I hope you enjoy literally anything else while you're there, if not sight of the comically small line of Monica Rial.
I usually do. Besides, Connecticon 2019 had JYB, Reuben Langdon, Dan Southworth, Brian Hanford, and Jim Cummings... Among other guests.

Everything I heard about Vic being a diva is him demanding that he gets the stuff that was promised beforehand.
And honestly, I can relate.

Imagine you are a minor celebrity in your circle, and you built a solid, upper middle class existence on being a really charismatic guy with lots of different artsy interests, and you KNOW that all your success is based around having a good rep and being liked by your REPEATED CUSTOMERS.
So, with that mindset, you go to have your panel at a convention to meet those people who are paying for your wealth and fame, and you actually sincerely like them.
You are a professional though, and your "staff" in this scenario are volunteers at an anime con, who are probably not the sharpest tools in the shed and/or socially awkward, as anime nerds are prone to be. This more often then not results in communication problems, like con management not relating your requests to the staff, the staff just forgets, nobody actually knows where the equipment is, etc.

You are holding your panel, and those are held on a set time and duration, and you either promised or planned in to watch something on a tv for example. You have no TV in the room though. You are quite annoyed because your schedule in the convention is tight af, and every minute not spent with fans is lost revenue and/or fan satisfaction. You talk to staff and remind them that you NEED a TV at that time in the room of your panel, like was promised with management. They say they will look into it, while you start your panel without the TV. You take a break in the middle and seek out the staffer and again inquire about the TV, now pissed off but still trying to be professional. The staffer tells you he couldn't find it, and you will have to make due without it. You mention that you were promised one, and inquired twice now. The staffer reacts by getting pissed, saying something like "I am not getting paid, I am a volunteer, I don't have to listen to this", and walks away.
This volunteer now dislikes you and will start talking shit about how you are a diva with unreasonable demands.

That's about how I imagine those "diva" moments to go, most of the time. Maybe I am wrong, but I think it fits.
Many VA's would not give a shit about the quality of their panel or the happiness of their paypigs with it, and I think Vic does. Maybe he wants to provide a good experience out of selfish ego reasons, maybe he just wants to produce the best "product" for his fans that he can.
The anime community is full of hobbyists and I can easily see volunteers getting salty about someone holding them to professional standards.

Maybe I am just whiteknighting Vic, and he really is more of an unreasonable asshole than I think, but everything I have seen about the man, including being WAY to nice to people who want to destroy his life, I can really not see him abusing staff or having allures for petty reasons.

Ron is down with putting his wife beating experience to the test in a boxing match against Griftmaster Nick, as long as it goes to charity.

Was already archived (I'm assuming by Porky).
Could you imagine if Nick agreed to a boxing match with Ron? Ron would start coming up with crazy conditions that he knows Nick wouldn't agree to. " nick has apologize to us" " Nick has to admit everything he said is a lie" "gives us the GFM" "Nick gives up his law license" ect.

Its pretty well known that Schemmel is one of the biggest divas/asshole in the industry. He throws fits about other English VAs who voiced goku being at the same con, is rude af to con staff/fans. Vic on the other hand was rumored to be diva over incompetence that caused issues with him meeting, interacting & entertaining fans. He stays hours past time to make sure he gets to every fan wanting to meet him or get an autograph. But since schemmel has the right politics it's fine.

Ron's condition would be that Nick has to fuck Monica while Ron watches. For that prize, the sheepdog would fight like a madman, and for Nick it would be a fate worse than death.
