My favorite Monster was always Heavy Metal. It was great, but only came in like 28oz cans.

My go-to energy drink, though, has been and always will be Rip It. Doing case races of warm Rip It with rival units while you're sitting around waiting for your orders kind of imparts a bittersweet love for the $1 energy drink. Found at any gas station or dollar store near you.

I got the retrowave variety pack(Zero Ultra, Ultra Rosa, Ultra Fiesta)

Ultra Rosa is Zero Sugar Pipeline Punch in a pink can. Ultra Fiesta is Mango flavored but it comes in a turquoise can.

Ultra Fiesta is also a can with a textured Skeleton deco on it, so that makes it cooler.

So apparently Monster realized they needed to come up with flavors that aren't crashing bores

this is... surprisingly really good. On the over-sweet side, but that's usually the case with the Monster Juice stuff.

Mango Loco is tops in my book, great on its own and takes a good coconut rum to the next level as a mixed drink. Goes pretty well with a true dark rum as well, depends on if you want a toasted marshmallow or coconut undertone to your girldrink.

Pacific punch (the Hawaiian Punch flavor-alike) is second, I like it on its own slightly better than Mango Loco, but it doesn't mix with booze nearly as well. Excellent with dark rum, but not quite as successful outside of that in the rum department.

Pipeline punch is good but it's not as good on its own as the above and doesn't mix as well with rum either imo.

Rehabs used to be my go-to but they fell to the wayside with the advent of monster juice as rehabs don't mix well with booze at all.

Halo is now doing a promotion with Monster, which in interesting as a Coke product, when once upon a time it had a tie-in with Mountain Dew Game Fuel.

I'm fond of Mango Loco, and the new Ultra Fiesta is remarkably similar while being less heavy and cloying. Ultra Fiesta is a very welcome addition. Ultra Rosa isn't too shabby either. The new Ultra Watermelon is really, really nice, has a nice tartness to it and isn't insanely sweet.

I try to stick to the sugar free ones so at least I'm only screwing my heart and whatever else with caffeine, rather than getting beetus too. Ultra Violet bitch
