Feel free to share and vent about the bosses that gave you a lot of trouble, made you rage quit, or just generally pissed you off. And for the love of Godbear, don't try to start anything by saying shit like "lol that guy was easy are you fucking kidding me, pleb". Let's keep this civil.

I'm going to start off by mentioning Seymour Flux from Final Fantasy X. This motherfucker is pure hell if you're not prepared.

Gym Leader Whitney in Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal/HeartGold/SoulSilver makes me rage. The only way to defeat her is with a female fighting type Pokemon. AND THEN SHE HAS THE GALL TO NOT WANT TO GIVE YOU THE GYM BADGE WHEN YOU DEFEAT HER.

The Boost Guardian from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. That fucking thing.

Also, Dahaka from Final Fantasy XIII. The thing that can give you like eight status ailments with one attack and then nukes you into the ground.

Also, Whitney is bad, but Clair is so much worse. That goddamned Kingdra and it's fucking Hydro Pump and Dragon Pulse.

^Dahaka gave me some trouble as well, but in all honesty I actually enjoy the fight for some reason. I struggled more with Hecatoncheir.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about Clair. The easiest way to defeat her is with a decently leveled ice type Pokemon. And who the hell would have one of those that late in the game? Also, she refuses to give you the gym badge when you defeat her as well. I see a trend here.

Oh, fuck me, I forgot Hecatoncheir. I think I ended up having to use an Aegisol to beat that fight.

I also had a lot of trouble with Byrnhildr and Bahamut.

^Yeah, Brynhildr is definitely up there as well.

And all Mortal Kombat players know that Shao Kahn cheap, but having only finished 9, I can personally confirm that he is a real son of a bitch in this one. You can literally only beat him by spamming. There is no good strategy.

No, really, watch this guy. If you've played you can't not emphasize with him.

The first time I beat Crystal when I was a kid I thought Clair was a lot easier compared to someone like Whitney for that particular part of the game. It probably had to do with raising my pokemon significantly more by that time and I already had like two level 50s when I got to Clair.

Blackthorn is right after Ice Path. By that point you might have already snagged a Sneasel/Jynx or a Swinub/Delibird. It's also not particularly far in the game considering you still have the Elite Four right after, and then have the entirety of Kanto remaining.

The boss fight I tend to remember more is the fight against Jarvia in Dragon Age Origins. Moreso because it's significantly harder than most of the prior ones you may have fought at that point. (Excluding the optional Dragon during the Urn of Sacred Ashes naturally). Moreso because she locks you into this really small room full of traps and like 10 archers while she backstabs the main character.

This fight annoys the crap out of me whenever I play through this game. It tends to come off a lot harder than the final boss fight at the end of Orzammar.

The master from the original Fallout. If you choose to fight him you're in for a tough fight.
Except til you find out the Master is counted as a machine enemy. Which means pulse grenades do a dramatic amount of damage to him. His gatling lasers also have limited range. Which means if you have a long ranged weapon you could easily kill him and any nightkin from far away.

I remember when Prime 2 was new some people supposedly gave up on the entire game when they couldn't defeat the Boost Guardian. Can't blame them much though mind you, seeing as how there are limited Energy Tanks available to grab at that point.

Golem Twins from Chrono Trigger. I very nearly quit playing the very first time I played through the game because they were so hard.

Those mole Bosses in Earthbound. I actually gave up on the game for years because of those fuckers.

I heard there were several of the developers that couldn't beat the Boost Guardian. It's a brutal fight. I know in the Wii port, they cut the damage it does down by a ton.

The Spider Guardian also has a reputation for being really hard, but it's less a boss fight and more a Morph Ball puzzle. Once you figure it out, it's not terrible. I have more problems with the Alpha Blogg.

Krotchy in Postal 2.

So you would think you can just shoot him and grab a Krotchy doll. Unfortunetly, not only does he have a rocket launcher, but Krotchy aint got no Kahonies

KROTCHY IS KAHONIES

BITCH

Krotchy is pretty easy if you have the Napalm Launcher or the Bazooka. Then you just need to hide in cover and fire it at him a few times.

I know that the Ice Path has ice pokemon for your convenience. The problem is that those pokemon are around level 25. Clair's dragon types are in the 40's. It would take considerable grinding to get an ice pokemon 20 levels up in order to battle with Clair's pokemon.

Use a Delibird against Clair? Are you kidding? You might as well use a Magikarp.

About the best bet is either Dewgong or Lapras; you can clear out her Dragonair with good Ice-type attacks, and at least resist Kingdra's Water-type attacks.
