Just thought I'd post a thread about boss fights in general, and which bosses you've recently vanquished specifically. Just be forewarned this could be a spoiler heavy thread if enough people post.

Tips and strategies used for the fights would be awesome to include. Spoilers about the names of certain bosses whose identity is hidden or are involved in a plot twist or shocking betrayal or whatever would definitely be appreciated.

My most recently defeated boss: Maleficent (first form)
Game: Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix.
The Prep: I was level 50/normal difficulty. My weapons were the Olympia keyblade, along with items to deduce dark and fire elemental damage. Goof had Herc's Shield. Donald had some crappy stave.
Battle strat: I cast Summon > Tinkerbell right away and then immediately cast Aeroga. Rather than using gravity to bring down her platform I just hit it (so it would drop MP balls) and wailed on here when I could reach her. It took me about 3 minutes to do this fight, no doubt because I'm level 50.

I'm expecting Dragon Maleficent and Ansem-Riku to be much tougher fights!

The last boss I beat was probably the Joker in Arkham Asylum

Not a particularly good boss in my opinion. Posion Ivy was much more enjoyable of a fight by comparison.

Shit, let me think. It's been a while since I played a game with bosses in it.

Probably the dinosaur skeleton in The Dog Island.

Although I hesitate to call him a final boss, I suppose Reis from Dying Light qualifies since he's the game's final big bad.

The reason I hesitate to call him a boss is simply because he's a goddamn QTE. Which is really bizarre because the rest of the major conflicts in the game required you to actually play and stay alive. Reis however is literally just six button presses and I think one "hammer the button to win" sequence. However, I can't really knock the game since the rest of it has been a real blast to play.

Considering the most recent boss I beaten, I feel like wanting to count the Djinn I fought in Wizardry 8. It may as well be a boss at the end of the more advanced training the Umpani give, considering that the Djinn itself was a tough fight that guarded the final flag I had to get.

Yesterday, I fought Chameleos and then Ukanlos on Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.

I gotta say, I think Chameleos is my new favorite Elder Dragon.

I like how he makes the area all foggy and how he can turn himself invisible. And his poison breath hurts like hell. I am kinda miffed that he stole my steak though.

Ukanlos:

I fought him already back in HR and his G rank fight isn't too different other than he has more health. He hits hard, but his attacks are easy to avoid for the most part. I had armor that was weak to ice attacks so I had to be pretty careful. To compensate though, I made a fire elemental GS and used a bunch of charge gems so I can charge my GS more quickly. REALLY helped out during the fight.

Frank Fly on Earthbound.

I loved the music during his fight!

The Master Core. I knew there would be a secret final boss for the Classic Mode, but I wasn't expecting to fight a smoke monster that turns into a monstrous dog, five giant swords, and a copy of whoever I was playing as. It was a pretty fun unexpected fight, but some of the attacks are complete bullshit like the one where the dog charges at you from the background at lightning speeds. This boss really reminds me of Gradius Gaiden's final boss, the Original Vision of the Ultimate Evil (O.V.U.M. for short), since both that boss and the Master Core are capable of turning into many different forms, yet their true forms are just this harmless spherical object.

Semi-spoilerish on Resident Evil 2

William Birkin, LeonA. Actually really easy, considering how much magnum ammo the game gives you at the end, even on normal mode. I half expected to have some problems but found Leon's scenario pretty easy overall. ClaireB, on the other hand, is going to be a massive bitch because of Mr. X. I've never beaten Claire's B scenario, since I find Leon a better fit against Mr. X, and Birkin is never a huge problem anyway.
