I knew one guy like Chris in high school. His name was Kenny. He was very much like Chris in some ways, and very much not like him in others.
The dude much like Chris was fat, autistic (but not on the same level as Chris) He had alot of anger and depression issues (I remember one class he lost his shit and nearly threw a desk at someone.) and shit and lived in his own world, and drew his own comic series. The dude was a loner, and I took pity on the guy so I decided to be a nice guy and eat lunch with him in my Junior year. I ate with him a number of times, and during our lunch he told me about his own comic series thing.
The difference between Ken and Chris is that Ken's comics were actually somewhat slightly creative (though he didn't really have very much talent at drawing, but neither do I. They didn't star some recolor of a random character, none of the protagonists were just names of people he knew spelled backwards. It was more of a mega-cross over. His series was called "Action Team". His comic took place in a dimension called "Superworld", which was in his own words "an alternate universe where every animated or fictional character that has been or will be created lives."
(I should mention that he gained heavy influence from his world from Who Framed Rodger Rabbit)
In this world "Action Team" was a Team of Heroes from all ends of Superworld (60% or so of them were from Nintendo), which fought against the evil forces of King Doom, and was led by none other than Ken himself. It was supposed to be a comedy (and some bits here and there were actually funny, but most of it was just dirty humor, swearing, and dick jokes. He had a character...oh dear god...he had a character that he said was supposed to be a cousin of the Toon Patrol Weasels called Flasher Weasel. In his comic Flasher Weasel has an obsession with his genitals. "He thinks his dick is the most awesome thing in the world, so much so that he wants to share it and show it to everyone in the world, but the problem is nobody in the world wants anything to do with it."
I asked how he was in this world that only fictional characters existed in and he told me he's not really physically there. He can only "cross through the astral plains in the dream state of sleep".
Kenny, like Chris, is a a fat unpopular virgin (though to his credit Ken was actually a nice guy and didn't just give a crap about anybody but himself.) with poor social skills and a love for my little pony. (Yeah he's one of those guys too.) But in Ken's own world, he's the most popular, most powerful, most wealthy, most sexual attractive male in his world. In his own words, he claimed to have had sex with every single female in Superworld. All of them, including his animated wife Nami Wave (Yeah....he believed he was married to a fictional character.), and even the ponies.
Yeah. Made me shudder a bit too.
And he believes it's all real. He actually believes that somewhere out there in the multiverse there is actually a Superworld, and he is the "Hero of Time".
(Another thing worth noting, I saw alot of similarities between the personalities of the character Nami Wave and his mother. Ken and his mother had a rough ass relationship so I don't really know what's that about, but I don't really wanna know.)
And he wrote me and a few other people into his story as well. Apparently us "Normalworldians" as he called us were some chosen ones or some shit. I was the Kenny McCormick of his world, because in every tale I die in some way for comic relief. I found out it was because I had an upside down horseshoe attached to my characters shirt (He had me in a red shirt that said "I put the F-U in FUN", which to this day makes no sense to me) which cursed me with insanely bad luck.
Ever since I found out he thought his little world was real, I've distanced myself from him. Last I heard of him he actually did get himself a job at a Burger King. It's not the flashiest job in the world, but it's something. He's making honest money, which is something Christian Weston Chandler has never done and more than likely never will do in his life.
