I just saw this Red Letter media worthy slice of kino:

It's every bit as good as it sounds.

On a lark ended up watching the documentary Murder In The Bayou. Some typical unsolved true crime stuff but also some really interesting Twin Peaks/True Detective like conspiratorial stuff as well. Basically it's a bunch of interviews with people who live in a small town in Louisiana which had a string of 8 murders which were never solved. Likely culprits include a ton of different kinds of people, the police department, a crazy guy, a politician and his henchmen, the sherriff, etc. Show really suceeds at showing how fucked up that entire town seems to be.

Recently started to watch the Venture Bros after the big commotion of it not getting another season. The shows pretty enjoyable to just chill and watch. And it's one series where Patrick Warborton's voice kinda doesn't grain on me.

Sadly, having no international distributor yet is "Hydra" (2019) a rather brisk indie thriller (runtime 77minutes) from first time director Kensuke Sonomura, stuntman and action choreographer, who's worked behind the scenes on movies like "Hard Revenge Milly: Bloody Battle", "Bushido Man", "The Warriors Way" and John Woo's "Manhunt". One of the hardest working men in the Japanese action movie scene, Masanori Mimoto, plays Takashi, chef at Hydra, a Tokyo sushi bar. Takashi is very, very skilled with his knives and has a photographic memory that allows him to prepare food with ludicrous precision. Also, he's great at solving problems in customer relations. His coworker Kenta and his employer, Riu are amazed at his abilities. He of course Has A Past that has come back to bite him, his former employers want him back on the job in the wake of the brutal murders of corrupt police officials.

Hydra doesn't have many action sequences but what there are are some of the more intense I've seen in awhile. Every little move counts. Overall, being shot on a low budget the film is a little rough here and there but there is some great cinematography and it's a taut ride.

The Mayor

The South Korean that played the lead to this one also played the lead role for Oldboy. Probably the best political action movie thriller that’s both cheesy and good.

Just saw "Nobody". Strong 8/10, would recommend.

The trailers and posters make it look like a John Wick clone, and while it was heavily influenced, there is enough to differentiate it. There are also some good comedic elements strangely enough.

Interested to hear everyone’s consensus when GvK comes out tomorrow night. Critical overview is good so far but we’ll see. i wasn’t a fan of the last two films for different reasons. It seems like a US studio just can’t seem to make Kaiju movies like Toho. While on topic, Heisi is still the best era.

Hey guys, should I watch Million Dollar Extreme Presents: World Peace?
I very much enjoyed it. If you can, you should watch/pirate the uncensored versions of the episodes. The censored versions are fine in their own right, since there is some meta-humor in seeing how they were able to circumvent and dunk on the network censorship through creative editing and stylistic choices.

But the uncensored versions have some great extended sequences and skits that were cut out of the censored broadcast versions entirely. Basically a lot of great content that is missing from the broadcast version and makes some of the sequences more understandable and more humorous in the conventional sense.

Absolutely. It's great anti-comedy that it's hard to believe actually got put on AS. And the episodes are short.

Where are the uncensored episodes available?

Hope I'm not late with this recommendation. Should be right up your alley with God's least favorite isles.

I recently rewatched the failed Fox pilot 2 hour "Generation X" movie from the mid 90s, again I want a Red Letter media episode covering it, I feel like I know which parts Rich Evans would uncontrollably laugh at.

Like when Skin says "I used to run email for my homies"

I enjoyed the action, the monster fighting scenes were well done and fun to watch. The human characters and overall story are awful and should be ignored because they are basically there to take you from fight scene to fight scene.

Its worth a watch, good but not great. I'd say 3/5 stars.

Just started Mindhunter on Netflix, I'm liking it so far. I didn't like the first episode much but it gets interesting after that.

Some of the obvious leftist shit is in there still but it's not egregious like some other shows. For example Holden's girlfriend basically cheats on him and he goes immediately back to her with no conversation or explanation. He just storms out of the building and then a day later he goes back to being with her? They don't even show a resolution, it's very jarring. If in this show Holden cheated on her there would literally be a 15 minute scene of them discussing it and her crying. Plus the psychologist lady only exists to put a woman in charge and have her be a typical modern day leftist. She's a white, lesbian doctor of psychology or some shit, basically a leftist archetype. They even have a scene where she's defending a cross-dresser and saying it's not always sexual, against the death penalty. Just imagine any leftist idea and she aligns with it. She's not a bad character but you get a sense she's a mastubatory aid for the writers. It's kind of a mixed bag really, there's some great stuff but you get some leftist propaganda and cringe scenes too.

Season 2 is shit, unfortunately. It's all lesbian scientist, autistic kid and how racism is the real evil.
