Sustained Denial of Service attacks. Paid for botnet. Service will continue to be disrupted until I can contact other providers and arrange a fix. Sister services to the forum will have longer downtime. There's still ongoing service-level attacks which are causing intermittent errors and general slowness.
The Guy Fawkes MLP mask may as well be one the uncreative things out there. At least now, one can tell which
anon is now brony if they ever chose to pay $55 to wear that kind of mask (which I'm sure could be much cheaper if they painted it themselves).

I feel kind of bad because when they started up, I was on board with it because a bunch of guys into a girl's cartoon seemed endearing. Then the overwhelming specialness (Guys? Watching a cartoon for... little girls? UNHEARD OF!) went to their heads and everything was ruined forever.
I suppose it was inevitable as it spread beyond 4chan's /co/. It doesn't surprise me that Gamergaters are thinking of enlisting them and Bitcoin guys to the cause.

The only thing worse than the average MLP fan is the anti-fans. Watching them fight is pretty hilarious. I guess the guys who just like watching and drawing shit based on the show are okay. It actually apparently helped some people. I don't know if this is good or bad.
As far as Anti-'s go, there was a thread for them but it got locked due to lack of substance. Really, the closest to that is SJW's if simply because they think all bronies are evil when in reality, it's just a fan-base that is like furries. Still, do you have anything to back that up, the anti-'s being worse than average fans?
As for bronies helping people, you do have some that do it genuinely because they want to help but then you also have those that only help to "prove that not all bronies are bad because they donated to a kid who tried to commit suicide." Not trying to say the help was unneeded (really, it did help the kid) but it kinda makes the good will of it moot if they only did it to get positive PR. Really, those who just like to watch the show and just draw fan-art may as well be the decent kind, since you got all the others that are bad, be it those who make recolors with cliched backgrounds or those that would literally spam on the Twitters of those who work on FiM, such as these guys:

Again, I still think they're almost equal. It's just spergs fighting other spergs about who is less spergy. Protip: I've never seen one of these antis that wasn't also a fan of some other spergy franchise.

Considering the girl cartoon part, wasn't there girl cartoon that guys did watch before MLP:FiM? I mean, if Power Puff Girls counts, then already that would show that bronies weren't really the first group of guys to watch a cartoon for girls. True. Those that devote their lives to it end up being spergs who think some pastel horse show is the greatest or their same-sex shipping of a blonde-haired ninja and his rival should be true. Sure the latter could end up being spergy in their hatred but then again, those spergs are either an exception or they could just be spergs in something unrelated (and I could be wrong with the latter group).

Difference is that it's ponies and ponies remind people of sperginess. And the fact that they make everything have a pony version upsets some people.

If bronies and anti-bronies were equal, you'd see more from the latter (that wouldn't be SJW's painting a group of spergs as Satan incarnate, that would just make it too easy).
As for what you've seen, really it should at least then give you an idea as to why we have this thread about bronies. Speaking of bronies, here is a random fact: the name itself is bad enough for some that those of 4Chan /MLP/ (and 8Chan's /Pone/) board prefer a name like ponyfag or horsefucker (they are self-aware of how stupid and such they are in being fans of the show).
