A year ago, in one of his deep funks, Chris expressed regret that he had ever posted content on YouTube. “None of those crap videos are me,” he declared. “They never reflected who I was or am ever.” But while Chris might mean this in a general sense, it does not imply that he thinks every last one of his videos was superfluous. We know this because on his current YouTube channel, he includes a playlist entitled “My Personal Videos (that can stay online)”. He has given us permission to continue to watch 61 of his old videos. By analyzing this collection, we can learn something about Chris’s current state of mind. Moreover, we can envision a pathway to the production of new videos.
Let’s start by looking at what Chris chose NOT to include. Most Captain’s Logs are gone, seeing as how they dealt with particular issues which no longer matter. There are no videos originally intended for a private audience. There are no videos railing against particular trolls. Even the “Calling Out” videos are, in Chris’s mind, old news. There are no frenzied declarations of heterosexuality, and no defenses of Tomgirlism. There is also very little about Sonichu. We have the video announcement of his copyright, but not much else. While he included his Powerpoint presentation, he omitted other business proposals. Most significantly, the audiobooks are not here. He simply does not want people to read his comics.
The two most interesting inclusions are Chris beating up Mary Lee Walsh in Soul Calibur, and the always hilarious “Don’t trust any homos over there” parody. Chris long ago offered an apology to Mary, even retconning her character in the comic. In the case of the homos video, Chris had originally retracted it and issued a video apology specifically because it offended Kim. Yet Kim is still one of his gal-pals. So here we have additional evidence, if any were needed, of the utter worthlessness of Chris’s apologies.
Overall, a single theme emerges in this collection. Chris has chosen videos which exhibit his great talent and creativity. All his Little Big Planet shit is here. All of his Flipnote Hatena animations are here. Many of his music videos and performances have made the cut, even one for the suicide Ivy. Many of the Jackie cosplays are here, which is especially interesting because these are examples of troll-driven videos, as opposed to those which flowed from his own inspiration. (Perhaps, when he originally uploaded these videos, he was still trying to fuck Jackie, and he hasn’t found the time to remove them.) At any rate, we can assume that he is proud of the work he did to produce these random-access humor gems.
Finally, if we also take note of the inclusion of his Autism Tutorials, we see that Chris still, despite his depression and isolation, wants the world to recognize his talent and praise him. The videos are meant to advertise to all pretty non-black ladies within 50 miles of Ruckersville, Virginia that he is an amazing catch. We can draw only one conclusion from this: if past videos are, in fact, a good representation of his character, then future videos can be too. That is, Chris is wrong to have abandoned video production. Since, as we all know, Chris is a noble and honest gentleman, he could use new videos to further build a positive reputation. He could show the world his true self, to counteract the vicious lies of the haters. Since his Facebook is closed to the public, and online dating services aren’t working, Chris could use YouTube videos to let everyone know how sad and lonely he is, and how he needs hugs and love from women. By disallowing comments on his videos, he could avoid trolling. There is simply no better way, at the present time, for Chris to find his sweetheart and thereby make his life perfect forever.

But Chris should rewatch one of his own videos, and rededicate himself to its message: “Dare, dare to believe you can survive/The power is there at your command/Dare, dare to keep all of your dreams alive/It's time to take a stand and you can win if you dare.”
