I'd guess these are photos from late 20s to early 30s. Excelsiorlef is now pushing mids 30s at like 36. From some recent posts I think has put on quite a bit of weight as well (talks about Besada-fingers causing spelling mistakes). Probably doing a Zoe Quinn and putting on more weight for extra oppression (GamerGate caused me to get fat! I haven't stolen £80,000!).

The Bore (used to be called Evilbore) used to be the closest thing to old school GAF but a lot of regulars over time left and got replaced by NeoGAF refugees who drink the SJW kool aid. I haven’t posted there in over five years but I lurk from time and time and it’s not a very interesting place to waste time in.

Edit: I decided to go back to The Bore for a bit and damn, that place is a wasteland. While not as awful as ResetEra, the triple reverse irony shitposting is rampant mixed in with left wing snark. That’s too bad.

Its staff is mostly whoever will bow and scrape before the ones already in charge and promise to squelch any discussion that threatens the white cis male pseudo-progressive hegemony.

You think of yourselves as a progressive group, yet you all seem incapable of basic forgiveness, nor of holding stances that don't eventually lead to violence. And when you can't deal with it? You just ban anyone who doesn't bend the knee. Can't ban them? Just ignore their concerns while longtime members accuse them of being bigots. Apparently some SNES centric communities like SNES Central are in on the dogpile, with SNES Central throwing out the idea of accuracy in favor of culturally relevant in 2020 translations. As for why the troons would dogpile the translation people, it's no shock. See, the translation guy in charge of the team has a very blunt stance on ResetEra:

As for the guy who did the text translation, ResetEra and their allies in the retro gaming scene like HG101 and SNES Central got results. He locked his account before writing up a statement saying he is no longer going to translate games because of them. After all, his reasoning is "if one word can cause such a backlash, why bother".

As a little bonus, over on Twitter his followers are absolutely shitting on Era and the other clowns in the scene. See a common thing in the emulation scene was for translations to be stuck in development hell, such as what happened with Aeon Genesis. Him and DDStranslation actually translated SNES roms people had wanted for years, unlike any of the "gaming enthusiasts" on era who likely don't even know what the words "IDA Pro" mean.
