How old are you? I don't mean that as an insult, I ask because I remember a time when it was weird to watch anime (called "manga" back then) because cartoons were "for kids". I remember before the internet went mainstream, and my dad thought it was something for nerds and perverts. My mom was considered weird by her friends for watching Stargate (the series) and Star Trek because women weren't supposed to be into nerd stuff.
Yes, Star Trek TNG, Red Dwarf, and Buffy the vampire slayer were mainstream, but before The Big Bang Theory and nerd stuff becoming popular around 2008, it was only "mainstream" on a surface level.
I liked the Matrix 2. Some good fight scenes, and great music. The story was arse though.
It's a shame they're getting revised as troon movies though, and not recommended because of the great fight scenes.
To me, this is the best fight in the whole series.
