Gosh, it only took them a few years to notice this one? We've got ourselves some Super Smart(tm) people over there!
I think they're running out of targets. Pretty much all of the big studios either bent the knee or strongly said "lol fuck off" and there's no damage left to be done to those, so as purity spirals always do, they're casting the net forever wider to snare new targets.
I do hope they keep targeting foreign indie devs though. That's always entertaining.

It's mostly "GOOD" and "It should have been harsher", but there are plenty of Resetera-grade replies.
Keep in mind, Chauvin got 22.5 years in prison, and the state's usual prison sentence for murder is 10-15 years, according to people in that very thread. SinbadtheSailor still thinks Chauvin was helped by white privilege.

And you just know that if we went forward in time 22 years and Chauvin's leaving the jail having served his time, these people would still be after his blood. Well, the ones who haven't taken the rope challenge yet.

Chauvin was never going to get off, they were prepared to arrest him in the court house if he had been found not guilty. I think his actions were egregious and not necessary in the situation but there were also other factors that majorly contributed to his death. 22 years actually seems kind of light for how much blood they wanted from him after all of the riots.
It's effectively a life sentence. He'll be executed in prison, or be kept in isolation until he goes insane. It's a completely inhumane sentence especially since they got him on 3 crimes that are all mutually exclusive with each other (you can't murder and manslaughter the same guy).
It is fucking wild that RetardEra, let alone anyone, still falls for Uncle at Nintendo stories.
