Just a reminder: Rose Walker is white in the original. And so was Lyta Hall. Death was technically as white as milk too. You bet your asses that the other Endless will be race-swapped to some degree too. Especially Destruction, the redhead.
Also, the chick who played Brienne of Tarth in Game of Thrones is set to be Lucifer. Make of that what you will. Chances are she will also have "They/Them" pronouns. Or some makeshift.
Only John Dee, Despair and Fiddler's Green seem to be well-cast. Desire too, but the whole "they/them" is too in-your-face, even if it's technically correct, since they flip-flop their gender to fit their whims.
Oh, and if Gaiman himself approved the changes, chances are he will also approve changes in the overall plot and themes to fit some hackneyed social justice agenda du-jour. He did that with American Gods and Good Omens, he will do with what many consider his masterpiece.

Not sure what to think yet, since I still need to read the comics. From what I can tell, the main point of contention is Death not being pasty-white. Don't know what else that chick is in, so can't weigh in on her talent.
Gaiman adaptations seem to be really hit or miss. I like Coraline and Good Omens, but American Gods lost me after season one's blunt-as-a-rock "satire".
