Netflix stand-up is the worst -

So, last year, my family downloaded some Netflix stand-up originals to listen to on a car trip. I don't know the specific names of the shows, so I can't tell you who the comedians were.

I overheard several of the shows...and they were just boring. The majority of the jokes were just extremely bland, or just obnoxious pop-culture references. I don't get how low-budget YouTubers can make much better comedy than people sponsored by Netflix.

What do you think of Netflix stand-up? Am I wrong? Where can they be improved upon?

I never listened to them, but back when Netflix had a useful star rating system, I saw that all of them had 2 stars at best. I tried listening to one, and couldn't last 10 minutes without sighing at how awful it was

The only one I've watched was Ryan Hamilton's "Happy Face" and I laughed my butt off because I'm just a fucking weirdo. The guy's from Idaho and literally sounds like Jerry Seinfeld, it's pretty crazy.

I think what's probably happening is that it's so much easier to record and distribute all forms of media that you're just seeing the truth of all forms of entertainment; most artists are kind of meh, some of them are good, and a very few are brilliant.
