After fruit gods, policemen fighting robots invented by the world's biggest prick, and uninteresting utopic ghosts I don't see how this is anything other than them wanting to do a video game theme since they've never done one. Plus Zyuohger is also game themed, so pairing the two up with similar themes makes sense.

What about Lemonman. He was just being a normal guy and didn't deserve his fate by Bananaman.
He made the Grapeman sad. He deserved to die twice.
I would've felt worse for Grapeman if he hadn't sicced a giant turtle monster on Peko for no fucking reason. I honestly thought, at the time, that they were going to kill him off just to show how bad Grapeman had become.
