NFL to play Black anthem before national anthem -

True. I haven't met many SJW who are fans of pro-football let alone sports in general.

I met one who thought that sportsball is for brain dead barbarians or whatever. I'm not a huge fan but I don't hate it, let people have their diversions...honestly I prefer MMA and medieval warfare but that's just me.

It's hard for me to want to watch anything though because of all this idiotic virtue signaling crap going on.

and the ratings are tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling doooooown...
I really hope more people are like me... formerly obsessed sports fans that have become accustomed to life without sports everyday of our lives, realizing we're better off not watching this shit. The virtue signaling nonsense being thrust in my face isn't helping that either.

With this and the second death of XFL football might as well not exist for me anymore. Y'all are gonna complain about oppression while your majority black teams make millions of dollars per season, good shit. You're an entertainment empire, get back to entertaining instead of political grandstanding.
The whole kneeling controversy made it easier to not watch the on-field product that is mediocre at best when one takes away the top four or so teams that are consistently at the top each season.

Hand in hand with your point, African American professionals that bring up injustice solely as a point for virtue signalling without regard to specific incidents are showing the same privilege they speak out against. Even those that had to work hard to be successful are so isolated from their upbringing that they know longer know what hardship and privilege are truly all about.

Sure, he makes his money through other means but not even having Al Sharpton talk him up at one of George Floyd's funerals got him his job back XD
Didn't Kaepernick also get some sort of money settlement from the NFL along with a multi-million deal form Nike to do whatever? Either way, he's not hurting for money unless he squanders it, and he could do more with his supposed charity then he would with kneeling and trying to get back on the football field. With his current reputation for drama, no team is going to want him any time soon. Even if they won't say it publicly, team administrators have their own grapevine. As much as I hate using SJW buzzwords, it seems appropriate in this instance to say that Kaepernick has made himself toxic ☢ enough that nobody in the front office wants that type of negativity and three-ring circus on their team.

Chances are their union will immediately make sure anyone kneeling will get banned for life
I'm pretty sure the NFL players union will bully strongly encourage everyone to stand and support the Black Anthem, if it in fact gets played, and threaten to severely punish anyone who dares protest or speak out against it. Sadly, the players will probably all silently go along with this and offer zero pushback. *sigh*

All this does is further separate black people from the rest of society. Totally won't backfire and make people more racist and resentful of black people. How long until BLM and co. demand that the Star Spangled Banner get removed and only Lift Every Voice and Sing be aired.
Funny how the NFL and other entities claim they want to promote diversity and people getting along while they instead do things that would further drive a racial wedge between people. Playing two anthems or an anthem catered solely to a minority group is not the way to promote unity. Even if people can't publicly push back due to the current nature of callout culture, people can still dislike this and show it in other ways such as not attending games, not watching on TV, etc. Action will always trump virtue signalling.

It's actually kind of fucking incredible how the left is so fucking toxic they've managed to ruin the popularity of fucking football of all things in American culture.
To paraphrase myself in another post, the extreme left has a reverse Midas Touch in that everything they touch turns awful. Still, I agree with you that the politicizing of sports is very unfortunate and off-putting. People need entertainment that lets them take a break from the world around them, not remind them of it every chance it gets.

It's hard for me to want to watch anything though because of all this idiotic virtue signaling crap going on.
If this isn't a :ruse: , this is the kind of thing that will make many normies stop watching NFL games -- up to and including the Super Bowl. With sports in general taking a hit right now due to COVID-19, they need all the fan support they can get right now. This is not the way to appeal to those fans, and I doubt the virtue signalling will get people that aren't already watching games to start watching them.

Blacks already have affirmative action in pro athletics but I guess that isn't enough anymore.
But it's OK because muh sportsball. If I don't have the FREEDOM to watch millionaires toss a ball around in taxpayer-funded stadiums so that megacorporations have a pretense to display advertising and sell me branded merchandise, then do we really live in a free country?

good! its a nice song!

I take it if I played this in South Africa I'm getting lynched right? It so catchy....

Patrick Mahomes, the Ubermuttsch himself, initially didn't support BLM during the Ferguson riots. Even though he has voiced support for them now, they'll probably cancel him for his past support of the Po-Po.
Correct

I can't wait to see a riot break out when someone kneels for the Black anthem....

Colin started to suck. If he was ACTUALLY GOOD, he would have been signed (Jacksonville Jaguars say hi). Muhammad Ali defied his draft and palled around with Malcom X and some NoI types as well. He STILL got fights booked, he was THAT GOOD.

Colin hasn't played a game in almost 4 YEARS. He certainly hasn't gotten better. Of he is ever signed again, he'll be a joke.

The dirty truth about Kaep:

1) He was on the downturn before the kneeling stuff really caught on. Win-Loss record was going down the tubes and he wasn't producing like he had the season the 49ers made it to the Super Bowl. This ultimately led to him getting benched in favor of The Man, The Myth, The Legend, the unflappable Blaine Gabbert.

2) As far as I could tell, the 49ers didn't get rid of him. He opted to leave. He left in the hopes of a starting job. Ray Lewis fought to get him over in Baltimore, but Kaep's girlfriend tweeted out a picture implying that Ray Lewis was like a loyal slave to the Raven's owner (using Sam Jackson and Leo from Django Unchained as a comparison) and that pretty much killed Kaep's shot in Baltimore.
Here's an article detailing the incident

3) There was that incident with the tryout where he was going to have a tryout in front of representatives for TWENTY FIVE TEAMS. Then 3 hours before the tryout, he put forth a shit ton of demands that could not possibly be met in time, and the tryout got cancelled. Now has there EVER been a case of so many teams holding a massive tryout for one player? If there is, I'm not aware of it and then he basically pulls out at the last minute.

I agree with Stephen A Smith's take: "He doesn't really want to play, he wants to be a martyr"

Are these the actions of a man that really wants a job in the NFL or the acts of a man that realized he can make a living off of talking about not being allowed to play for the NFL?

You forgot the biggest one:

Harbaugh, his coach who built the entire 49ers around CK, had left the team and the owners had replaced him with a coach who made it publicly known that he wanted to rebuild (as was his right) the 49ers in his image. That meant a new QB, as the new coach had no interest period in CK being his QB and had cited the fact that CK had peaked/was on the downward trend due to the fact that after a couple of years, everyone figured out CK and had successfully manage to work field strategies to neutralize him/beat CK. Which in turn was the ultimate catalyst to CK going anti-American to try and avoid being forced out.

Also, the white guy who was "advising" CK and who loves to take credit for "giving CK the idea to kneel" was a fucking lunatic leftie ex-special forces guy who thought because he was a soldier, he deserved to play pro football and was soundly rejected by ALL of the major teams. Would not be shocked if he played CK for his own revenge schemes (IE put NFL into the mother of all PR shitstorms for daring to reject him) even as CK was playing his own games to avoid being run out of San Fran.
