Ty Beard was one of the authors of "A Fistful of TOWs" and I don't remember if they've done an entire show on tabletop gaming (topics tend to be a little squirrely when the superchats get going) but I'm pretty sure they've at least dedicated a significant chunk of a stream to it.

The only reason this couple was given this sweet heart deal was it would kill McCloskeys political ambitions. What an idiot take from Nick.
If the state wants you in prison, you will go there. This proves for a fact that no matter what favorable circumstances are in your favor, coffers, attorneys, evidence tampering, public support, and the promise of a pardon. Nick will take hundreds of thousands of dollars to tell you to take a deal you would have gotten with a public defender. Also I find it cute how Nick acts like the court won't fuck over the McCloskeys later, which they totally can. Courts will do shit like this and a year later some other serious but unrelated BS charges come, long after any public support has evaporated. Hell, this was planned for Chauvin if his murder charges didn't go threw. Chauvins convenient tax crimes.
I get that Nick is implementing his own legal analysis here, and trying avoid "the algorithm". But other you tubers have seemed to get away with this without being banned. As analyzing the political element of this case is baked in into it.

I find the lack of any of the points I or Viva made in nicks video, awfully convenient. Now I find it theoretical, but we all have the sickness. Being on the right gives you a latent authoritarianism.. I'm pretty sure Nick has mentioned this. And I'm pretty sure its something that's been pretty well studied. Now that's not a bad thing. But its an urge that be very useful twenty years ago. It also explains the pro law enforcement takes and censorship on his channel (I do think nick knows about it, and is lieing now.) But today in clown world, with rainbow colored cop cars, people getting killed like Turner Diary style angry mobs, and public libraries allowing pedophiles to bounce four year olds on their hairy knees. The authorities don't have our best interests at heart.
Fortunately, Nick hasn't been hurt by this system, a'lot of people haven't. Trump, Ted Cruz, and Styhexanhammer have had no appreciable change in the material conditions of their lives. But there are political prisoners rotting in cells over MAGA. There's people defending their lives over trying to escape angry mobs. There's families dealing with rapid inflation caused by the gimmes the BLM crowd razed cities for. Gimmes that we can prove Nick took, already on his grossly inflated salary. All the while Nick, Trump, and Styx all smugly chuckle at the idiots who give them money for being wrong over and over about everything every time.
The McCloskeys are simply another example of people who feel entitled to support, but have made no sacrifices. Just how Trump threw everybody under the bus the moment he was faced with jail. Its bad for any political movement Nick would support and agree with. Nick hangs with the likes of Drexel, a miscegenating lecher and Diddler Dax without a hint of self reflection.
