Nier Replicant Discussion -

After 11 years since it's release and on/off-again attempts to play through it, I recently played through Nier Replicant on PS4. Let's discuss your thoughts, impressions and opinions on this. Did you ever play the original? How did you feel about this? My thoughts after seeing the game through all endings: Eh, it was alright. Automata was better.

Great game, though the backtracking for the last few endings got obnoxious after a while, cutting down the repetition would've been nice. I loved the new ending. The PC port really should be fixed by now though. There are work around for the bugs but they seem relatively simple to fix, and they're incredibly intrusive for people who don't know how to fix them.

The backtracking really shows how the world and its connecting dozen or so maps took such a back seat to the story.

Doubtful, since if not even Kojima can comprehend what goes into his mind, I doubt Yoko Taro knows what's inside of his mind. Well, aside from the fact that he likes big butts and he cannot lie. 2B got back.

Fantastic hd rerelease (i'm not calling it a remake because it really isn't), the combat was reworked in a way that was sympathetic to the original system, the new additions sat well between the old content and the old voice actors returned and again that's where the game really shines.
