Well by that logic, moderator isn't staff either. (And it was a joke in the first place.)

But, all joking aside, I'd suggest that the first thing that needs to be done is locking the Donald Trump Salt Megathread. I think there was a time and a place for it, but people seem to perceive its existence as a 'funnel', meaning everything Donald Trump related needs to go there. Or, at least making the thread only be about documenting cow reactions to Trump, like angry twitter rants from utter nobodies, rather than talking about anything going on in the news.

I base a lot of this on Articles & Happenings becoming pseudo-salt mine for things Donald Trump related. People would rather talk about specific events than associate with a /r/TheDonald knockoff.
