late but I feel like Lindsay never really fit into the woke crowd to begin with. She’s always been a little too edgy and smart for them and I knew it would only be a matter of time before she forgot to cross her ts and dot her is. If she stayed away from the SJW video essays and stuck with her Michael Bay sperg a thons maybe she would not be in this position but she knew where the money and clout was and flew too close to the sun.

Straight white academics are always teetering on the edge of cancellation and anyone who isn’t a Pee Oh Cee or trans person is going to be constantly under the microscope in her sphere. Especially if they have a not so PC past. It’s kind of a shame since I think if she kept her mouth shut and stayed out of the angry sjw Twitter woke sphere she could have had a smaller yet loyal following a la Todd in the Shadows.

Todd definitely is one of the better stories that came out of Channel Awesome. A lot of it boils down to the fact that his channel still actually has music as its main focus, lol.

He still has political opinions and all of that, but that is honestly perfectly fine as long as you don't lose sight of why people watch your content in the first place.

Basically, Leftism has been at war with itself ever since the bourgeoisie who supported the French and American Revolutions ran afoul of the socialists. Modern Socialists and Communists see them as brothers in arms, at least in the west. (In the east, it's another story, since Chinese Communists are more old-school; they despise gays and racial minorities just as much as the old USSR and Che Guevara did.)

Back in 2010, I considered myself a somewhat progressive person. I liked strong women in games and other forms of media, back then when "strong women" just meant "a person who is strong who happens to be a woman", not "a woman who has everything given to her from the start but we'll pretend like she is some kind of milestone despite having few struggles and even less training". Now, I run across old feminists who used to be for the movement back in the 80s and 90s, whining about how the left abandoned them in favor of the trannies and race-baiting.

That's why someone like Lindsay is destined to become a pariah. She's spent all this time attacking the right and supporting leftist feminism, but what she doesn't understand is that the movement is not her friend. The movement will sell her ass out if it means scoring woke points with the newer crop of leftists who see old-school "transphobic" white feminists as Trump-supporting Republican devils. Which means that the right will hate her, but the left will end up hating her, too.

It's ironic that leftist essentially end up creating some of their biggest enemies just because of how reactionary unreasonable they can be.

She tried to make money with her feminist credentials, only to find that the modern woke crowd is far more progressive than the one that indoctrinated her.

She could have just kept on doing what Doug made her do, talk about things from a woman's perspective and make fun of Michael Bay and macho shit, and at most, she'll just end up like Doug; someone with a smaller, but loyal following. But she just had to try and make herself a feminist icon to mooch off the SJW movement, and the problem is, outside of the left's intolerance for dissent, the left is always re-inventing itself. What was hip with them in the past (eroticism, using sex appeal to lure men away from monogamous relationships) is now verboten. And yet ironically enough, if you impose a real black and white morality upon the left, like say, ancient Christian morals, they'd call you a bigot and a narrow-minded old fart. If this was any more ironic, we'd have a plane crashing on a museum made for aviation disasters.

Every political struggle ever since the American and French revolutions has been nothing but the old left vs. the new left. The old left would include classical liberals, libertarians, anarcho-capitalists, and the like, while the new left are the socialists, communists, feminists, and SJWs. And as I said, even among Communists, there's a massive difference between the macho, Red Guard Commies of old who overthrew monarchies and democracies by force, and the modern Commie Pinkos coming out of the universities and protesting in a free country where the cops would get in trouble if they opened fire. And of course, the former hate the latter with the fiery intensity of a million Foreman Grills. The Chinese Communists even have an insult for modern leftists in the west, "Baizuo", or "white left", AKA, a western liberal (usually white) who advocates for social justice, peace, and equality so they can feel morally superior to everyone.

Lindsay is enough of a Baizuo that the old-guard Commies would see her as scum, but she's not far left enough that most of the Baizuo here in the west would accept her wholeheartedly. Especially since she's used to criticizing whatever she wants, and the modern left does not tolerate criticism without calling their critics "manbabies", "racists", "sexists", or "Alt-Right". She clearly has a preference for leftist SJW talk, but she isn't that far to the left, which is why she's getting attacked right now. If she were in 1930s Germany, she'd be the equivalent of those who had lukewarm support for the Nazis, only to be harassed/attacked by them when she inevitably criticizes the Fuhrer for something.

She got deep in with them, whereas back then under Doug's tenure, she was at most, just another comedian on a website that at the time, wasn't really leaning too far to the right or the left.
