Imagine pushing 40 and reviewing a cartoon for little girls.
That's why he tried to hire a Nostalgia Chick in the first place. She was supposed to review shit like this so that Doug doesn't look like a jackass. But then he hired Lindsay and she was a bitch that didn't want to do that.

EDIT: Watched it. Boring. He only hinted at this fetish stuff you guys mentioned and never showed any of it. It's like the opposite of the Sailor Moon review.

Called it he made fun of the fetish stuff in the first three minutes then tried to say their is a legit fanbase for the show and thats why he wants to examine it. Doug just go with the pervert joke and leave it at that

He intentionally misinterprets a joke where they introduce each of the three main girls where it pulls out from Beverly Hills to Earth and then back to Beverly Hills each time. The joke is obvious and I'm sure he got it but he's acting like its stupid for comedic points.

Acknowledges a good joke made, which he's always done in the past. One of the few good things about his persona that still works even to today.

Oh no a skit. Oh it was kinda cute where he lets his cat out instead of Malcolm in a fursuit. Consider me pleasantly surprised.

Holy fuck he's doing a THREE minute commercial for ExpressVPN. Faked emotion throughout. Back in the day Doug getting a sponsorship deal would have been impressive now it just comes across as desperate.

Doug says the girls doing the Walk Like An Egyptian Dance is problematic

Gratuitous reference to BTAS. It's a good show but its not the best show ever

Outdated Internet meme reference

I smirked when he had the pig get blown up and turned into bacon. Does he still do the dog escaping the flames joke from Independence Day?

Ends it on the most obvious generic summary of the show, probably so he doesn't piss off the shows internet fanbase. Come on Doug back in the day you would rage over the most milquetoast children's movie for cheap yuks, tear this movie a new a-hole.

His end credits are now plugs for charity? New to me, I guess he's trying to do something good. I guess. Also please keep your hat on Doug I'm sorry but you and baldness do not go together.

Still the same show since 2007.

I skimmed it and literally the only one I could find that could fit was the shot of Clover's foot and him remarking that the scene was directed by Tarantino.

But god damn, a three minute commercial for a VPN? Even other content makers that advertise those things wait until the end of the video.

I ended up having it on back and forth. He showed some of the fetish clips taken out of context and even had a brief moment where one of Saberspark's vids showed up at the bottom. The whole review itself of the film really just felt like "Oh, this isn't for me!" and it's like the lowest bar of comedy imo.

There are others who do talk about sponsors like Skill Share or Express VPN. I don't know if they have a time estimate for how long they need to talk about it for, but I usually see them lasting about a minute. Some put them in mid video or the gaming youtubers that get them try and make it flow into the script.

Only times I've EVER felt they were worth a damn watching them is when Internet Historian makes his ads for them, or when Nick Robinson had the most smooth as fuck cutaway into a VPN because he was going over Terrace House as a whole.

Doug for some reason makes the sponsored ads almost always about 3-4 minutes and always has them midway through. You add in the 2-3 min for a charity shoutout and include the 1 minute of his awful intro and you finally start realizing how much is basically filler.

Expect him to do no research on the show and complain that the movie doesn't explain enough, like he does with any tvshow movie he didn't grow up with
He does that with movies about games too. Funny part was that when he bashed on Mortal Kombat: Anihilation (let's face it, the movie sucks and he could talk about it problems for hours, really), he bashed the movie for the fact that Sindel was Kitana mother despite them looking like not to much apart in age (despite the fact, that it was already explained in the first movie, that Kitana is 10 000 years old) and game explains that Sindel was dead for centuries. He also bashed on the fact that Kuai Liang was younger Sub-Zero, while Bi-Han died in first movie and on Scorpion, forgetting that Scorpion was undead wraith. Yeah, while someone who didn't knew the game could be confused by that, the first movie already provided decent explanation of both of these factors, if only Critic payed attention. He shit on one of a few things, which were done properly in the movie.

Why is he watching a children's show that is way past his time?

The answer as always...

Seriously. Doug was already an adult when this show debuted. Why is he watching a children's show that is way past his time? It's not even like he has any children of his own that watch it.

Exactly, dude. I can understand reviewing shows like Transformers, Voltron, or Power Rangers since they were part of his childhood nostalgia, and it makes sense to re-watch them from the lens of an adult. But he's watching these new cartoons as a grown adult, and Jesus Christ, they're not even nostalgic for him! It's just creepy and Brony-ish.

I could see something like this working if he had done a collab with someone who grew up with this show so you could have the two different perspectives playing off of each other.

He did try that with a few reviews in the past (The "Digimon" movie comes to mind,) but I guess he ran out of people to collab with, or collabs have significantly less audience retention than solo reviews and Doug's gone "Well, the chart says--" on us.

Also, I don't think anyone would ever want to work with him if #CTC left anything on his reputation.
