He's trying! He's trying pretty hard to find the right combination of words and reactions that will satisfy the 'trolls'.
Of course, the problem here is that he still thinks these people perpetrated 'misdeeds' against him and that he was a victim. Until he can see that's not the case he's just spinning his wheels.
