Oh don't get me wrong; I can see the point of such a system -- In Prussia and in other Monarchies. However, the result of exporting such a system into a Democratic Republic was disastrous; You basically ended up with militant Democratic Trotskyites who think that Democracy is the natural base-line of humanity taking over US foreign policy by WW1, and from then on they constantly were surprised when removing monarchs and dictators would only lead to anarchy and then even more totalitarian movements taking control.

As much as I hate putting troth in media figureheads, Tucker Carlson (or his writers) seem likely to cover this sort of thing. It's a treasure trove of clandestine documents, unflattering not just toward their industry rivals but various Democrat figureheads, Carlson's favorite target. This isn't true. The issue with the system isn't the test results. It's the system itself which is built to instill a culture of following orders. It was good for the Prussians when they implemented it. It was good for Henry Ford when he needed factory workers. It isn't good anymore in an increasingly complex world that requires more thinking on your feet than following top down orders.

Even the Prussians, who became the Germans changed their system and they did it in the early 1900's to develop new tactics and better soldiers for WW1. Theres a reason everyone acknowledges German soldiers were the best soldiers of WW2 and it's due to their change in training.
