it's not about the will of the people, it's the Laurentian elite. If each province had their way they would not redistribute money to other provinces, but that's not the will of the elite. The elite, who primarily are rooted in the liberal party, have a very good idea of what will happen to their position as "the naturally governing party" if they don't cater to Quebec. Many rural and metropolitan French ridings have no business voting for the liberals considering the absolute disdain they have for any sort of natural Canadian culture. But, you have to look at the money. The liberals give millions to Quebec and these bribes convince the French to vote for the liberals.

If the liberals were to cancel their bribery policy the conservatives would win Quebec and then win a majority. Not like that matters tho because the conservatives will continue the same bribery policy.

The continuous bleating on every platform by the so called marginalised, health compromised and ignored trans lobby is high pitched and irritating.
