Dear Canuskitani neighbors, what the fuck happened to you? For most of your nations great history your proudest achievement was to in every way possible ignore your own government. Most Canadian's from just a generation ago wouldn't have been caught dead in any of this Covid Lockdown crap because they would have proudly ignored it, or not even known about it. Why just 10-15 years ago fewer than 2% of Canadian's even knew who their Prime Minister was. It was one of your more enviable traits. What the Fuck happened to you?

the school system happened. Long march through the institutions. Every teacher now is either NDP, Green, or full-on commie, no exceptions, and they wear their politics on their sleeves and push it in the schoolwork.

That being friendly, welcoming and laid back attitude that worked fine when immigrants were coming from Western countries
is now falling apart now that the vast majority of immigrants are from dog eat dog third world shitholes, thanks to Justin's father.

I'm just old enough to remember when Pierre Trudeau opened the floodgates, starting with shitholes like Jamaica. (Population 2M. 2000 murders per year average).
That's when the ghetto's began and the shooting started and having my bike stolen every week and our house broken into every Christmas by the new arrivals.
The "Knockout game" they call it now used to be called "Wilding" in the 80's.

The last day of the CNE was called "Black Monday". The crowd would turn 99% black when the sun went down and that's when the robbing, shooting and rapes began.

I remember when Rexdale and Scarbborough were safe. Kids could go down to Yonge street alone to play arcade games and hang out.

America hasn't fought a war on it's own soil since 1812 and the civil war, and we are in danger of becoming just as clueless, but we're not quite there yet.

Wars were fought here in it's creation and those battles crossed borders.

The War of 1812. The French and Indian War (Seven Year's War). Upper Canada Rebellion. If you're talking about Confederation being the relatively late date of 1867, that's misleading. "Canada" already existed at that time. Confederation just merged Canada with Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Before "Canada" singular there was Upper Canada and Lower Canada. Upper and Lower Canada are almost as old as the United States. Sorry to any onlookers; I know Canadian history is boring.
