You know how in old cartoons from the 80's and 90's they'd use the insult "Your mother wears high-heeled shoes!" I never got how that was insult but it recently dawned on me that it was a subtle way of calling someone's mother a whore.
Your definition of "old cartoons" depresses me.
I'd actually consider cartoons from the Golden Age of Animation "vintage".Your definition of "old cartoons" depresses me.
The original phrase was "Your mother wears combat boots!" Two theories to that: during the WW2 era, women would wear a soldier's army/combat boots after a one night stand. Another one would be that WW2 boots were sold in surplus stores, so your mom was poor to get women's shoes.

How do you think it feels when shows that used to be on CN during the 90s are now on BOOMERANG, alongside the Flintstones?
there was some old cartoon movie i watched over twenty years ago, I only remember one scene, bunch of kids turn into swans and fly away I think? had a lot of ice themes, I think the villain was the Ice Queen? it's just that one scene I just barely remember. wonder what it was.
Was it The Swan Princess (1994)? If not the original theatrical film then perhaps one of the direct-to-video sequels?
No. It's not the swan princess, I remember that entire film series just fine, this was much much older because I only ever saw it at my Grandmothers house. Must've been at most 1960 I'd guess.
Maybe it was Wild Swans/Дикие лебеди/Dikiye lebedi (1962)?
That looks very similar but I don't think so. I'm fairly certain it was in English, and I just skimmed through that for awhile and while it does look very similar, I swear what I saw had a heavy theme of ice and that the main villain was an Ice Queen. Which this doesn't seem to have. The animation looks close to what I remember though.
keep in mind though, this shit I'm remembering, it must've been like, 21-24 years ago. I could very well be fusing movies in my head.
maybe it was this version? like I said, some of it doesn't look right, but the kids turning into swans and all that...that's really fucking close to what I was describing. But if I was fusing movies, then what the fuck was the one with the Ice Queen?
There was an animated Snow Queen adaptation in '76 by the BBC, and one a few years ago from Disney.
