More support for the case of extreme confirmation bias he suffers from. He even only searches things with his favorite wrestler succeeding, no failures.

And yeah, it seems like Jace should really like wrasslin. Maybe I'm just projecting because watching him stream him watching wrestling sounds interesting to me. I'd like to see Jace get massively pissed at Evil Islam or somebody.

Well to him, WWE is still real to him damn it. He likes doing stunts, be it parkour or skateboarding and wrestling, truthfully, is one big stunt. Maybe somewhere deeeeep down he puts real fighting, up alongside being an actual marine; something he can't or won't pursue because of reasons we can only speculate. If he was really passionate about it I'm positive there's a school by him somewhere.

On the topic of Jace getting pissed off, everything going on with Rusev right now is just begging for Jace's attention. Sure it's not anything Islamic but you'd think a Putin worshiping Russian that hates the US holding the United States title would piss him off.

It's amazing how much fake stuff comes up in Jace's life: wrestling, video games, airsoft guns, Jace being a Marine, and so on.

Also, I'm with @TheOneMrBlonde in thinking Jace saw the Marine and that's where he became a John Cena fan and where he got all his misconceptions of Cena actually being in the Armed Forces. He doesn't seem to know jack shit about John Cena as is evident in Jace not knowing Cena is OK with gay men being pro wrestlers.

Well he does know of some losses. The first being CM Punk's reign of terror when he declared that Punk was gay. The other being Lesnar after practically killing Cena and said he used MMA/UFC moves not wrestling moves despite there being like 20 German Suplexes.

It could be possible Jace doesn't even watch any matches. He could just keep up with constant googling of Cena and reading the latest news or something.

I think what bothers me most is Jace doesn't even know the names of any moves. If I recall he doesn't know the actual name of any of Cena's finishers and definitely not their technical terms. Every time he sees some fancy moves he just declares they're "WWE moves". No clotheslines, suplexes, DDTs, piledrivers or submissions but maybe I'm giving him too much credit. The guy would call a hurricanrana "sick parkour".

Yeah he doesn't feel as passionate about it. It isn't something that directly affects him as like you said his lazy eye or the military. Maybe he'll get in a phase where he's into it but it's not the flavor of the month.

On the topic of Cena vs. Batista, I'm going to assume he means the match at Wrestlemania 26. However there is the I Quit match at Over the Limit 2010 and their Last Man Standing match at Extreme Rules 2010. But the way Eli says he saw him get a boner over it, it could be ANY match on RAW. Even though he says he knows that match like the back of his hand, I doubt this.

He didn't seem all that familiar with it and I doubt he was ever a bona fide fan or anything but I guess it means something that he cares enough for wrestling to even try something other than WWE. I think this may just be one of his interests that never ended up at the forefront of his online presence in the same way that guns or video games have. When people call in and ask about wrestling, Jace can typically respond with something relevant, if not vague. He was upset enough about Gail not letting him buy pay-per-views to specifically bring it up as one of her major slights against him. He went to the trouble of figuring out that online streams exist and then actually utilized them. For a very long time, he opened all of his videos doing a You Can't See Me gesture. Wrestling obviously means something to him even if he doesn't talk about it a lot.

His poor knowledge of technical stuff like move names reminds me of children who like wrestling. They can miss a lot of details because they tend to have trouble focusing on a television show for 2-3 hours and are more concerned with cheering on their favorites and watching guys do cool flippy shit rather than the quality of the matches or workrate or whatever. Jace also buys into John Cena's whole Never Give Up shtick the exact same way that kids do except he's an adult so it's kinda weird and sad

I think if he had a specific outlet where he could talk about wrestling, we'd know a lot more about his thoughts and feelings on it. He's also probably super used to people calling him gay for liking wrestling so I'm not surprised that he's never been incredibly public about it outside of liking John Cena. I'd love his impressions on something like CHIKARA though.

That's more Kaiju Big Battel. CHIKARA is more... comic book-y, I guess? They've got full suits but they're usually not so reliant on the heavy gear. I don't watch them much. I get my nutritional requirements of crazy costume wrestling from AAA out of Mexico.
