There are too many to count, but I've been revisiting these videos lately:

Also, this isn't a moment per se, but the introduction of the Supernovas is one of my favorite sequences in the series, it felt like something out of a crime film, which is my favorite genre:

Personally, I'd watch the anime until the end of the Marineford saga (episode 516), then go with the manga because it's at that point that the pacing takes a huge nosedive in terms of speed.

P.S. Don't tell anyone you're catching up, I've seen that people have a nasty collective habit of spoiling some really amazing moments.
Its a shame that Monet ends up dead and no one cares a single bit as the Snow Fruit powers and Monets design is pretty cool. Law straight up killing Vergo and Monet seems stupid to me as he could of used the pair of them as hostages in his blood feud with Doflamingo or at the very least handed them over to Smoker

Love One Piece, hate Nami. She is literally the worst.

There's a theory that's been going on for a while that the Snow Fruit could end up on Nami's Orange grove and get eaten by Carrot. I have a feeling that we won't see the end of that particular fruit.

My favorite character is Robin and I resent how she's gotten the shaft for a long time now, considering she's the only living person who can read the poneghlyps and a such she should be a key character in the series.
Yeah, I totally agree. Robin is my favourite Straw Hat, and it's a shame that she doesn't get much screen time. I hate how she doesn't have a more important role... In Film Gold, I was disappointed with how she doesn't really have anything to do, like usual.

Monet is really neat and I love her design a lot. She has to be one of my top 10 favourites. I'm super upset that she was killed off. :(

Something'll turn up for her soon at Wano. Look at Sanji. He was practically a gag character for a while till Whole Cake Island reminded us how awesome he is.

I think she gets sidelined due to how broken her Devil Fruit is compared to the other Devil Fruit users among the Strawhats and the fact outside of her storyline Robin is a introverted and quiet person happier reading a book then then the extrovert Nami plus the fact Oda is struggling with the whole juggling nearly fifteen regular characters if you include guest party members like Carrot and Kineamon.

The Dressrosa Arc was so fucking tiring. I know its somewhat necessary, but these endless stares, dragged on tense moments and flashbacks...
Just give me another silly spa island filler arc instead.

On a side note:
It doesn't really make sense to hide spoilers if you guys quote them for all to see. ;)

I didn't have a problem with Dressrosa's pacing except for when
Luffy has to fight Bellamy. Even after I understood his reasons for not wanting to fight, I kept shouting, "Just punch him out already!"

@darkhorse816 and I have a deal where if she spoils something for me, I show her the porn. I'm tempted to make this a punishment for unmarked spoilers.

Anyway, my favorite characters are Nami and Law. @darkhorse816 loves Sanji, and my sister's favorite character is Chopper.

FYI what @trombonista is referring to is when we were discussing which Straw Hat had the saddest childhood. Trombonista said
Robin
.
I having forgotten how far she was in the series, said
Sanji
. Trombonista’s like
Robin had her home blown up and was on the run
and I was like
At least Robin didn’t have to wear an Iron Mask
. So yeah, I had to look at One Piece incest porn. I then cried in the shower.

Yeah for me, the start of the anime decline is the Fishman island arc, so prolonged, and Dressrosa is probably worse given that it's the longest arc in the series..

God no, Foxy is probably the only OP character that I completely dislike.. I dislike everything about him: His powers, his design, even Afro Luffy and Aokiji's 1st appearance isn't enough to save that arc for me.

That is mostly meant so people don't just gush about unadapted manga chapters and spoil stuff. But anyone who's way behind on things should expect spoilers, otherwise we wouldn't be able to discuss anything lol.

I was thinking of adding something to the Opening post about the latest adapted manga chapter, but that's just going to be a pain in the ass to update.

I am a heavy subscriber to Artur's views on that:

https://thelibraryofohara.com/2018/06/01/chapter-secrets-chapter-906/

For those who don't know him, Artur runs the Library of Ohara site, and is easily one of the best OP people around, he's so good, the OP subreddit made an exception for him to post his Chapter secrets blogposts as soon as he makes them, even if it violates their "all new chapter discussions in the chapter thread for 24 hours" rule. Also, he clearly gets the chapter a bit before all of us do. I will be posting the blogposts as we go, along with the chapter spoilers/ chapter links.

The whole thing was way too contrived IMO, just a way for Oda to link things back to the Jaya arc, which ranks pretty highly on my personal fave One Piece arcs, it's quite the well-done arc imo:

EDIT: I'm rewatching these clips, and it's AMAZING how utterly wrong Bellamy/Dofla were about the New Era, which is almost being completely dominated by Pirates who are motivated by dreams, whether it's the old legends like Big Mom, or the rising upstarts of the Worst Generation, like Luffy or Blackbeard.

If anything she's on the weaker side of the crew now. Dressrosa showed us she's no good against armed opponents, and she can't do anything against logias, so she can only handle mooks now. Ussop developed observation haki, Nami just got a massive power-up, Chopper could awaken his DF any day and Franky could always get a bullshit upgrade like kairoseki fists. Robin needs armament haki to keep up with the rest of the crew.

I hope Oda dials down on extra characters in future arcs (:optimistic:, Wano is going to have like 6 million characters running around) because the story is so crowded now we can't even have the whole crew at once.

TBF nobody could've foreseen how the battle of Marineford would shape the world, or the meteoric raise of some no-name pirates like Blackbeard and Luffy. Both Luffy assembling his crew and amassing his bounty and Blackbeard betraying The Whitebeard Pirates and becoming and Yonko happen in 6 months or less. It's like, how nobody could've seen the raise of Islamic Terrorism before 9/11 irl.

Nami just got a massive power-up
I'm 100% convinced that that happened on purpose because it lets Big Mom track their movements without them being aware of it. And since it's a piece of her soul in that thing, she can easily recall it back if they try to use it against her (and probably kill the fuck out of it).

Chapter 508 spoilers are out (source), will post chapter link once it's out. There will be a break next week. *sigh*

And yes, it's a fucking doozy. Oda picked the worst time to take a break..

here is the full translation incase you want it

Chapter 908 "Beginning of Reverie"

Shirahoshi's bruises disappear using Masherry's powers. Mjosgard promises to stay by Shirahoshi's side during the conference and to take full responsibility if any fights happen.

Pell comes running to Vivi and apologizes for not being with her. Cobra is reading a certain letter for Fujitora, and he, Fujitora, and King Riku are having a discussion.

The Queen of the Sorube Kingdom, Conney, arrives at the Celestial Dragon door at Pangaea Castle where she is stopped from entering. In order to attend to urgent business, Charlos returns and comes to meet Roswald, who heard of the incident. Roswald is riding on Kuma, the present Shichibukai, former Revolutionary Army commander, and former King of the Sorube Kingdom. Kuma is rented out as an unrivaled slave.

The gates are opened for Charlos, which is used by Conney, who is really Bonney, to infiltrate in. She resolves reaching her target after seeing Kuma's tragic state.

Sabo, Morley, Lindbergh, and Karasu infiltrate underground using Lindbergh's ability. They act to not leave with out rescuing Kuma, who was made an example of due to being a former member nation's king.

And then the day of Reverie. The Five Elders are suspicious of Cobra, who inquired for an audience, and think that a one great purge is needed if the long-lasting balance of the world can not be protected.

A mysterious person tears up the bounty posters of Luffy and Blackbeard, pierces a picture of Shirahoshi with a sword, and gazes ponderingly at a picture of Vivi. This person sits in the Empty Throne and is called Imu-sama by the Five Elders. The Five Elders wish to learn if there is a light that Imu would like erased from history.

I have A LOT of thoughts about that, but I wanna wait until after reading the chapter..
Is this where
the big "legend of the One Piece world" that was hinted at here
DRPLd0GVwAUOdgO.jpg
comes into play?
Actually now that I think about it
if the spoilers are correct this is probably the same motherfucker from the end of chapter 906

We are rapidly approaching the endgame. All kinds of shit is either going to happen during the Wano arc or it's gonna kick off right after. I thought they'd have visited more places before getting to this point (though that might be a consequence of the way Oda writes his stuff and how many goddamn chapters it ends up taking)

Also Oda always fucking does this he's such a goddamn tease i hate him but yet i love him
