There's a bunch of minor lolcows who eventually got the message, so they finally cut the shit and moved on with their lives.
I'd say SammyClassicSonicFan is probably the most prolific example of a redeemed lolcow. If anything, he went on and became a bit of an IRL Chad. It helps that he was literally just a kid when he had his big lolcow meltdowns.

I heard of a minor cow in another forum about lolcows, a guy on the Silent Hill wiki that edited lots of shit saying that everything on the series was a metaphor for circumcision and how it was damaging.

I never get that. It's just another 'I was only pretending to be retarded' situation, why would someone say that? 'Guys we all find this thing annoying and have no fond experiences of it or irony-culturing connections with it such that they don't make the person doing the thing look bad so I'm gonna do this thing and if you say I look bad then satire, checkmate atheists.'
I think he was just a special kid who was acting special on the Internet, as all special kids of his time have done especially due to broad-scale poor parental-level understanding of the Internet. He shouldn't get laid into for it or lose out on future job opportunities for it but he's being dishonest if he's saying that he thought when he was a tiny very immature child about the complex and very useless state of the Golden Age Internet and thought that attracting its attention was a good idea. I wish the very best for him and I hope he gets a very high grade in a well-regarded STEM degree.
