So, who here remembers Roller Coaster Tycoon? If you don't I pity your childhood. Anyway there was another series of games made by the same guy, called Transport Tycoon. In it you manage the land, air, and sea routes of a transportation company.
Many years later, people took this game and recreated it's code and graphics, releasing it as an open source project. It's still going strong and getting updates with a large community, and it's updated state even includes better pathfinding and AI, 32bpp graphics (although most mods are still in 8bpp because it's been the norm for so long) and proper multi-player servers. The main draw of it is trains of course, as the complexity of managing several interconnected industry networks and the tracks that support them quickly becomes a logistical mountain, especially if you fuck up your junctions.
There also is an android port of it that is kept current with the PC release, which allows you to run any mods or multi-player servers from your tablet or phone (although the controls for phone are atrocious because of the size).
So I was wondering if anyone else plays this?
