Growing Around Opposite Day -

Headbanger General

It might have worked if Enter hadn't written the scene the way he did. I still think it would have been funnier if he turned her into a normal kind of pet. You could get some decent physical comedy out of an animal as big as a horse learning to be a gerbil or something.

Now, I didn't read the Pretty Pony script because I've got to draw the line somewhere, so I have to ask, is Gumdrops supposed to be sentient or something? I just get the feeling that that's what Enter was going for based on the comments I've seen here.

I haven't read that one either. I'm operating on the assumption that she's just a family pet.

The only scripts I've read are Opposite Day, a little bit of the pilot, and the one where Robert meets Linda.

Oh boy, a sentient pony in Enter's show. How original

Anyone remember that episode of I Am Weasel where the Red Guy promises Weasel and Baboon that the cartoon they're going to star in will be really, completely original, but it turns out to be just a bunch of clichés?

Who knew that David Feiss could have predicted the future?

8. Sally worries about the bus driver's reaction time on the road in spite of his fully developed adult brain. (EDIT: Previous episodes establish Sally is an extremely reckless driver, making her concern out of character.)
I was going to say, her and to a lesser extent, every other child in this universe, are terrible behind the wheel. So I found this remark particularly odd.

9. This entire plot happens because "a wizard did it."
Come on now, you really don't expect Enter to explain this shit now, do you?

13. GUMDROPS DIES WHAT THE FUCK.
I only skimmed through this part, but I really hope this is permanent, even if the episode itself is considered "Non-canon" or something. The whole idea of a pet horse looked like it had little to no joke opportunities from the get go.

As for the rest of the script, it's clear that despite being one himself. Enter proves that he writes for adults just as well as he does children, which is not at all.

Actually, why is Gumdrops a motorcycle there? If he wanted a normal pet, it could have been a dog or something.

@Jumpin Jenkins: But he himself had a dog, so ergo, he likes dogs, so they can't fit the tearjerking scene where they discover that.

I wonder how he feels about cats? If he hates them, he could have made the pony a cat.

As if he needed more things to fail at.
But that is of course school's fault, no doubt

If he wanted to make a joke about the horse being transformed in a vehicle, why not a mustang?
It would be a "meh" joke
But I think he was treating that seriously

You know what the irony is? He said in his "Fairly Odd Pet" review that adding pets to an already existing cast never works.
If Enter sees this he may make "My Pretty Pony" the pilot, that way the Pony wouldn't be put in the "established" cast
