This movie should've been made in the 90's starring Kurt Russell as Snake and Sean Bean as liquid. that would've been the perfect time but no. instead hollywood capitalizes on an old franchise as always and ruins it. Imagine my shock!

Yes, the Star Wars sequels were terrible and shouldn't be called movies, but not because of him. The only truly bad actor in them was Daisy Ridley. Isaac has actually done decent work before those trashfires.

I want Sam Elliott as Ocelot, dammit. David Hayter as vocal coach, entire CGI division delegated to ass-enhancement, Mantis makes fun of whatever else I've been streaming.

Really, the thing to do would be to adapt Metal Gear first, not Metal Gear Solid. Fanboys still happy but less familiarity with the plot and thus less sperging about all the things that inevitably get changed. Grab an older actor with gravitas to play the VenomBig Boss-as-Kurtz to the hilt.

"I'm your commander and your enemy and also kinda your dad, WAR" is an easier story to start out with than "CLONE ANGST INCONTINENT WEEB CYBORG NINJA PSYCHIC TWINK GIANT ROBOT NANOMACHINES," but then the MGS2 story still exists for later, if it gets (two) sequels. And then "lol I killed my mentor/genesource twice" is a reasonable flashback instead of some really awkward exposition.
