My personal theory was always the headaches were caused by him inhaling the marker fumes.
Also, that uncolored page is probably the most well-organized comic page he's ever drawn.
Stress doesn't cause headaches. They're usually the sign of some pretty bad health issues.
I'm not gonna go screaming "chris is gonna die!" but there is a huge array of things that cause headaches and each is worse than the last. Given that he's recently passed a kidney stone, he's probably consistently dehydrated, probably drinks soda all day and never any water. And he's been doing that for decades, which is really not doing his already poor health any favors.
I'm not sure exactly what constant mild dehydration can do to you after decades but maybe some kiwi here knows more about that
It would be a shame to lose all that history that he hasn't retconned out of existence yet.
If a person's past books are just considered practice, that's all the more reason for them to reboot the series. They can show the audience how much they've grown since they started and drum up some interest.

"I love my electric hedgehog family to damn them all that way" - that's honestly pretty fucking sad that he has to call his knockoff characters his 'family' even after what he did to Simonla so long ago, because he has to imagine a bunch of autistic monsters being his loving familiars.
He'll starting start getting Charlie horses in the night if it's chronic. The bad kind that make you writhe in agony and then leave your calve in a knot for the entire day after.
