A number of incidents are missing from that wikipedia list, which is now up to 22 people dead. Wikipedia of course is going to do it's best to obfuscate the facts, but the fellow who was immolated in the liquor store and Ochea Brown being missing from the list are obvious red flags. Obviously the ambushes against police that aren't in the immediate vicinity of protests are also off the list, even if the perp vows it to be connected.

The simple fact is that we'll never know the real death toll. Beyond the unknowable effect this will have on the spread of Covid-19, it's almost assured that opportunists will have used the chaos to kill people without consequence. I can't imagine any kind of follow up in Minneapolis with a defunded police department either.

I'm not sure they'll be able to defund any police force there. Woke grandstanding aside, the voters who actually matter - local big players, business owners, nice mayo crackaz in their nice mayo suburbs - are looking at this in horror. There's also the issue of the CHAZ. If the mayor and the governor - both democrats - won't get their shit together, the feds might enter the game, and I imagine the rest of those faggots are going to try everything to avoid the same. That means, among other things, maintaining a strong police presence.

The thread title is sarcasm, because certain news outlets and politicians have been downplaying or completely ignoring the riots and got outraged when Trump suggested cracking down on them.
