I don't think I would want to be this kind of person, but if it's forced upon me as a matter of duty... eh.
Incels. (At this point it would be for their own good.)
Fujoshi types.
Loudmouthed sociopolitical extremists. (I'll explain why in a bit.)
Clickbait internet journalists.
After all those boxes are ticked, probably myself.
So, while I'm a definite advocate for people being able to speak their mind, the way the internet currently works allows for too many effective end-runs around the idea of having your exceptional viewpoints constantly challenged and tempered by debate and such. In this environment political extremists aren't just unchecked, they are inordinately loud and represented out of scale with their real numbers as a result. This allows them to warp discourse heavily, leads to otherwise compromise-capable people talking past each other, and keeps them more relevant than they have any right to be. It's theoretically possible for an organic counter to evolve to these phenomena but I'm not sure we have the time to wait for that any more. It might just be that human brains haven't caught up to the internet yet, really.
It would be interesting to purge the entire internet simultaneously, all at once, I wish people could stop using it all together but you need it for so many daily tasks, god forbid getting and doing a job without it.
I think a sudden loss of the internet would extremely healthy and for the good of society in way. (minus all the few millions who die from internet reliant machinery malfunctioning and the imminent nuclear reactor meltdowns and following holocaust in some parts of the world. )
I would purge myself, when I go into droid mode and just watch YT videos all day.
Taking the joke aside.
Kids! Under a certain age they are both too dumb and naive. Not to mention there are a ton of predators both sexual ie pedos and financial ie Jake Paul and others out there.
Parents just give their kids a tablet or phone and let them browse YouTube, so they don't have to be parents. Of course creeps and scammers will show up in droves.
