Personal Attacks on Lolcows -

What is it about Lolcows that makes every one of them assume that any form of criticism is a personal attack? Even something as simple as correcting them on third grade science, they assume you're "attacking" them and that you're persecuting them... or even wishing them physical harm. Every single one of these goons falls into this trap.

What causes this misconception? Stupidity? Arrested development? Autism? Sound out your theories!

Typically, I blame the 'tism.
They're usually unable to frame the context of any interaction outside of themselves, so it's instantly assumed that anything that isn't immediately obvious as asspatting is abuse. If they weren't so aggressively solipsistic, they wouldn't jump to the same conclusion, over and over.
