The services are kind of insane as well. He wants 5.8k for four weeks to train your dog. I get that's boarding and all along with the training, but you could get one on one training with an instructor with your dog and learn how to handle them as well for far less.

no worries; just would be pretty serious if he somehow lost his veteran benefits. typically this means a pretty serious offense that is some kind of felony which can then turn into a dishonorable discharge after serving imprisonment (and yes, if you are convicted in a court martial you are still enlisted and collect pay and benefits during your imprisonment until your discharge). commissioned officers and warrant officers have a little alternate process, but the end result can be the same. even people using things like excessive force or manslaughter get OTH or general discharge so a DD where you lose your veteran status is a BFD.
