DesolatorMagic, or Desolator144 is a youtuber who focuses primarily on being outraged at everything Wizards of the Coast produces. An average desolator magic video goes something like this:
Bitching about magic, playing a completely unrelated game, and shunning filthy netdeckers.

There are a lot of things about nerd poker that Desolatormagic despises: SJW influence, netdeckers, (for the uninitiated, a netdeck is a magic deck that someone copies in whole or in part off a site that aggregates tournament results,) liberals, and apparently mucinex given his constant nasal tone of voice. But who is Daddy Des? Lets dive in.


EARLY DAYS

The Desolator144 username and website(archive) have been around for a long time, I was actually shocked while compiling information for this thread when I learned that the username has a history dating back to at least 2007. Desolator has been an avid forum poster for years, and his interests are many and varied. I'm sure much of the story has been left out but here are a few highlights of his community involvement:

Desolator144 used to write guides for ehow, and though the account that he posted on has been nuked, some articles still remain thanks to the wayback machine.

CAR FORUMS

At one point it seems Peter decided to make a foray into car modification, joining a forum dedicated to the Mercury Cougar(archive). His magnum opus during this time, in addition to some other choice exceptionalism, was the modification of the sound system for his vehicle into what I can only describe as an Office Depot desktop speaker promotion. Apparently he recorded videos of this shit, but deleted them out of embarrassment. If anyone has a copy (unlikely) I'm dying to see how this shit sounded.

apparently his threads were so exceptional (archive) that mods frequently had to shut them down due to his spergery.

This also confirms that the Desolator144 youtube account is, in fact, Desolator144 from these forums.

GAMING FORUMS

Des had a few passions other than cars though, we can see that he played and made video content related to SEO (archive) (Silk Road Online) and DDO (Dungeons and Dragons Online)
The former, apparently, banned him from their forum for being disrespectful twards the mods, though I couldn't find the thread that resulted in his banning, as the account cannot be accessed due to being banned.

All of these accounts share the same, now deleted, photobucket account: Wizzerd911 (archive) with is first name attached.

BUSINESS OWNER

Peter owned (from 2012 - May 4, 2019) a computer sales and repair shop in Appleton, WI called Peters Computer Service and Sales (archive). The first video in this OP has a story about a man who stole literally hundreds of dollars of hardware from his store, and how this could have potentially bankrupted him. I'm honest to god surprised that the store stayed afloat for as long as it did if his margins were that thin. This store shared a building with a cards and collectibles shop, and apparently Peter has claimed that he owned this store in some of his past videos.

But Des has one passion that gained him true recognition. DesolatorMagic hateslikes Magic: The Gathering. From the first youtube video he published regarding MTG, about three years ago, he has fully dedicated his online persona into being a MTG Content Creator.

MAGIC: THE GATHERING
Nothing attracts spergs like a good collectible or trading (or both) card game, and Magic is the best (eat shit YuGiOh! fags.) Desolator has been making magic content for 3 years now, and he has roughly 1.8 thousand videos on his channel. This is roughly 1.5 videos per day for the last three years. He covers a wide variety of subjects: How WoTC is killing magic, how SJWs and feminists are killing magic, how magic is killing magic, how netdeckers are killing magic, how card prices are killing magic, how liberals are killing magic, and how good he is at magic.

Magic the Gathering content creators generally fall in to one or two categories, people who bitch about stuff, people who play the game and showcase decks and play the game, and people who do both. An example of this would be The Quartering, someone who got their start opening boxes of cards and transitioned into a more 'bitch about stuff' format, or Saffron Olive, who got their start writing about competetive magic, and now streams and records video content of gameplay for a larger MTG website, MTGGoldfish. Desolator is someone who bitches about magic, got his start bitching about magic, but doesn't really play magic at a competitive level. We can see some of his attempts at deckbuilding competetively with the infamous Gravity Bomb deck:

Needless to say, people in the magic community mocked the shit out of him for his poor deck design, silly deck name, and most importantly his refusal to test against an actual player (electing instead to play against the shit AI on the third party MTG webclient XMage) while declaring that his deck was amazing. The Xmage community(archive), and the Cocatrice (another freeware magic platform) community both dislike Desolator

A group called Magic Hell on Facebook started brewing some less than positive memes about him, and he responded by doxing (or attempting to dox) their admin.

He also caught the attention (archive) of the Magic the Circlejerking reddit community (r/MTCJ) who very much like Magic Hell began to endlessly ridicule him for being a sped(archive).

Eventually someone posted to the subreddit a game log where Des ragequit a game because all of his spells got countered. He responded with a beautiful copypasta
which only further incensed his growing base of detractors. I was following the subreddit during this time, and almost every single post was a low effort desolator meme, some of them were fucking hilarious. Even to this day, the Negate meme is frequently posted.

During the time he's been active, the mainstream magic community(archive) has also fostered great resentment for the savior of MTG due to his political views and also because he's just shit at the game in general. Even the offshoot subreddit, r/Freemagic dislikes him (archive)

While the r/magictcg frequenters are generally whiny faggots, SJWs, or both, I can at least agree with them that Peter is exceptional.


Sadly, Peter's @Desolatormagic twitter account was banned some time ago, probably for calling trannies mentally ill or something. Searching @desolatormagic twitter mentions shows a wealth of potential content that is sadly lost to time.

CLOSING ANTICS

Desolator Magic was banned from a furryanime convention for saying that he would bring a gun (archive). In fairness, he claims to have a concealed carry permit, but the hotel and convention clearly stated that they did not allow weapons on the premises.

He also threatened to DMCA the MTGGoldfish website over the use of a thumbnail that he had made(archive). When the lead content creator essentially told him that he was acting like a child, Des claimed that he was going to do it so that the filthy netdeckers no longer had a hub of information to copy their decklists from, thus freeing the magic community from oppression or some shit.

This is my first OP, so please let me know if there's anything I've missed or that could be formatted better, and remember that if you're a netdecker you're going to the gas chambers.

It should also be mentioned that Youtube comments and hot takes on twitter that reflect negatively on Des end up getting deleted fairly quickly. I have a feeling that he's privated or outright deleted videos that made him look excessively dumb in the past. However due to the massive number of videos he has on his channel, it would be impossible for me to archive all of them.
