Original thread title: "Anti-Pewdiepie Salt"
Pewdiepie (Felix Kjellberg) owns the most subscribed to youtube channel in the websites history. Originally he was known for his Let's Plays, but now his content is more of a comedy vlog or skit style where he screws around on camera and cracks jokes usually without video games these days.
However, since the internet is filled with oversensitive babies and clickbait journalists any time one of his jokes is a little bit too edgy for them, the babies (and clickbaiters) write floods of news articles and massively asspained tweets about how he's a horrible rape apologist, transphobic, homophobic, racist, anti-Semitic, Hitler-loving, alt-right piece of shit.
Good twitter searches to mine for this are: #pewdiepieisoverparty, pewdiepie racist, pewdiepie antisemite, pewdiepie sexist, pewdiepie transphobic, etc.
For example:

2/22/2017 UPDATE #1:
Since the initial outburst over PewDiePie making a video involving two Indian men dancing around while holding a sign reading "Death to All Jews" among a few other off-color Hitler jokes, the Wall Street Journal has published a hit piece on their website insinuating that Felix had Nazi Sympathies. This led to the rage against him intensifying. Disney cut ties with him, and Youtube dropped the Youtube Red series known as "Scare PewDiePie", cancelling it's second season.
After the WSJ published their article, they attempted to get in contact with Felix to "give him a platform to defend himself", he denied them as he already used youtube as his platform to tell his side.
The social justice warriors have now kicked into overdrive, accusing a wide range of people of being Nazis for sticking up for the youtube star, many of these people were good personal friends of his. Such as: Mark "Markiplier" Fishbach, Ethan Klein from H3H3, JonTron, Boogie2988, and several members of the Game Grumps, all of which have received harassment on Tumblr and Twitter over associating with Felix.
Many of the faces we know from "Anti-GamerGate" have also been involved with trying to further the campaign against PewDiePie and co. Such as David Gallant, Sam Biddle, Franchesca Ramsey, Matt Myers, Ben Kuchera, Buzzfeed, and many more.
Since the controversy, the hashtags: #PewDieGate and #PewDiePieDidNothingWrong have sprung up in support of him. As well as the @PewDieGate twitter.
3/5/2017 UPDATE #2:
If you want to know about why people from the Journalism/Media side of things are so heavily invested in this drama, a post was made on page 15 of this thread linking to a paper about the state of Journalism Education in the USA.
Here's a link to the post in question.
Further updates to come in the future.
