A while back twitch streamer and gambling enthusiast James PhantomL0rd Varga was permanently banned from the platform for allegations of fraud and gambling.
They banned him without any solid proof or evidence, PhantomL0rd eventually sued and after a two year battle he has won what amounts to 20k, not quite the 35 million he was seeking but this sets a precedent against twitch and their shitty preference practices and ToS tweaking favoring anyone that can make em a quick buck, looking at you kiddie pool thots calling 2 inches of water a hot tub.
The jury sided with him on all counts.
Will they unban him? Probably not. Unless that was part of the winnings.
(archive isn't removing the shit pop up that asks for a donation for some reason but you can skip it)
I’ll edit the OP and post any/all legal filing documents I can find if this technically counts as something to move into LolcowLLP
His initial win was over twitch trying to cap the lawsuit at 50k which a judge rejected and allowed the lawsuit to proceed without that cap.
winning only 20k sounds like shit when you consider that circumstance but a win is a win. I wonder what his retainer was.
Now I really wanna see a Dr. Disrespect lawsuit as his damages were literally millions in an exclusive contract.
